Cari lettori, apriamo questo numero della rivi‑ sta con lo sguardo rivolto al setto‑ re dell’energia e in particolare alle complesse vicende che riguardano la Čez nei Balcani. La compagnia elet‑ trica ceca è tuttora al centro di una scottante vertenza con il governo di Tirana, accusato di non aver tutelato gli investimenti compiuti in Albania in questi ultimi anni. Una situazione delicata, alla quale si sono aggiunte le tensioni in Bulgaria, altro paese dove la Čez ha rischiato di vedersi revocare la licenza di distribuzione. Intanto, rimangono sullo sfondo i problemi domestici, visto che la utility ha di nuovo rinviato, almeno di un anno, le decisioni relative al mega piano di raddoppio della centrale di Temelín. Inevitabile anche un riferimento alla situazione politica. La crisi scoppiata lo scorso giugno si è infatti risolta con lo scioglimento della Camera e l’annuncio di elezioni anticipate, una novità assoluta per la storia della Re‑ pubblica Ceca. In attesa del voto, che
si svolgerà il 25 e il 26 ottobre, do‑ mina una certezza, la medesima che avevamo indicato nel numero scorso: il presidente Miloš Zeman rimane il padrone della scena politica ceca. Sempre su questo tema, vi segna‑ liamo un approfondimento sulla grande distanza che sembra dividere oggi la gioventù ceca dal mondo del‑ la politica. Un rapporto di apparente indifferenza quasi inspiegabile, se solo pensiamo alla importanza che i movimenti studenteschi hanno sempre avuto nella storia recente di questo Paese. Abbiamo anche il piacere di pubbli‑ care un’intervista all’ambasciatore della Repubblica Ceca a Roma, Petr Buriánek, il quale ci racconta fra le al‑
tre cose della importante esperienza umana, culturale e politica, maturata durante gli anni in cui ebbe a collabo‑ rare con Václav Havel. Oltre alle nostre consuete rubriche sull’andamento della economia, sulle novità fiscali e di approfondimento legislativo, non mancano altri inte‑ ressanti argomenti: la storia della Meopta, l’arte graffiante di Kája Sau‑ dek, l’epopea delle edizioni Edizioni 68, voce prestigiosa del dissenso ceco prima del 1989, così come le pagine dedicate al quartiere praghese di Dejvice. Dear readers, We open this issue of our magazine with our eyes directed at the energy sector, and in particular, at the complex events surrounding the Čez in the Balkans. The Czech electric company is still at the centre of a heated debate with the Tirana government, having been accused of not protecting investments made in Albania in the last few years. A delicate situation, which has also been intensified by the tensions in Bulgaria, another country where the Čez risked seeing their distribution license being revoked. In the meantime, domestic problems remain in the background, since the utility company has once again delayed, by at least one year, the decisions related to the big plan to double the size of the Temelín power plant. A reference to the current political situation is also inevitable. The crisis,
which broke out last June, was actually resolved by the disbandment of the House and the announcement of early elections, a first in Czech history. While we wait for the elections, which will take place on the 25th and 26th October, one thing seems certain, the very same situation we discussed in our last issue, the fact that Miloš Zeman remains the sole leader of the Czech political scene. Also related to this theme, we highlight an exploration of the great distance that nowadays seems to divide the Czech youth from the world of politics.
