Thanks to the few of you that influenced m e positively in the last four years. Most importantly m y parents and sister, w h o somehow managed to put up with constant mediocre grades and still ended up supporting everything I was passionate about. JL-Living together for three years somehow worked out extremely well, to the point where you lived at m y house in the summer and ate breakfast with m y parents. Good luck with college, and try to stop doing things you regret. Keep the ratio in your favor, bro. You're one of the few people I would trust with anything. AS- As much B.S. as I constantly give you and as m u c h as w e piss each other off, 1 honestly consider you a good friend. Good luck with the whole school thing in the future. I wish I were as dedicated to school as you are. PH, W E , M S - Some of us have known each other for since preschool, and all of us since 4th grade, whatever that means exactly I a m not sure, but 1 wish the best of luck to you guys in the future. Pete, it was solely bad timing and stay away from Norelco's. GW-You're a little sensitive, but I think it's a good thing. Good luck with everything in your future. JP-Since orientation w e have been making the same jokes and it's getting old. I still can't believe you're student leader. Keep dancing on tables. EE-that one night at your house was really funny, w e need to do that again. You're better at boardslides than m e and I hate it. GO-Living with you went way better than I ever would have thought. Just try to keep the roller blades off your feet in the room. SS-We wrote one really good song together, have a good one more year and stop getting intro trouble. You running through the halls of our dorm naked with Lynn looking through the door window was amazing. BS-that one time in our c o m m o n s room, you put m e in one of the most uncomfortable situations I have ever been in. Stay off the fake cigarettes. You're a good kid. Go Mohawks. EB- 1 wish w e got to know each other sooner, you've made m e laugh harder and more consistently than anyone else. You're a truly genuine person, and as trite and cliche as that sounds, it's completely true. Dirty, RP, JP, DC, AF, AJ, FS, JM, CB, TS, JT, good luck graduating, and have a good one or two more years. As unrelated as this might be, Miranda, thank you for everything, 1 love you. I openly apologize to every one of m y friends w h o m I let a stupid girl get in the way of. You have to learn somehow though right? I wasn't "dead to you," I was just on hold for a little while. 1 want you all to k n o w I regret those two years more than any o you will ever know. Phil G. and Ted Mastin, thank you for being great advisors, and the Salathes and Hackmanns for putting up with m e for two years each in various dorms. A great deal of gratitude and thanks to every adult that I learned something from here, especially Dale, Dave Pilla, Ian Hamlet, and Sarah Wilkins. You all helped m e learn understand what hard work is in different ways, even though you were all probably completely unaware of it. Thank you to all m y true friends for making this four years as enjoyable as it could have been. and to you...-"if love was a bridge, you'd be the one in the fens How did I not know that your words meant less than dust. And were born of an idea that you had heard, but having nothing in common with truth or with trust." Adios Amigos.

Joe Lloyd I will never forget m y friends and the adventures w e shared together. Jeff: let's go skimboarding sometime. Whit: lvl rugby, banff. Miranda, w e are driving to Montana soon; I love you. Elsie: I'll see you in bzrds. Arms, big boy, washboard, O K mat!!! S L A M D U N K . Geoff. Taylor. Jake. Dave Shay is 2Pac. Ethan is Vanilla Ice. A D A M SCHERR. Jake Husslah. Maria Jose, please marry m e ! Dave Kenney, you have a small mouth but I forgive you. John Pellett, go for the gold Sidney 2000. S w a m O . "Let's go exploring"

Grant Wheeler I owe m y family everything. Brenda, I couldn't have done it without you Proctor, thanks for having me.

The always popular thanks to m y M o m and Dad. Thanks for loaning m e 150 grand for school; I'll pay you back, I swear. Next w e come to Proctor and the people w h o I have shared m y time with. Proctor, although I have had some bad times coming here, let m e go to Spain which was the best time of m y life. Thanks to everyone that has helped m e on m y journey. Finally, from a friend leave you with this: What do you call a deer with no eyes? A no eye deer. What do you call a deer with no eyes and no legs? A still no eye deer. Thank you all and good luck in the furture. — John "the student body" Pellett

First of all, it's been Four Years and I wouldn't change any of them. I can see that I have grown an immense amount since m y time as a freshman. I have matured in a great environment, the Proctor community, and it has been a wonderful experience. I have to show appreciation for m y parents w h o gave m e the opportunity to come to this school, without them, I wouldn't be here with the opportunities I have. The crew, m y friends w h o were there for four years with me, Mikey, Max, O k m a , Yuji, it's been fun and it just won't be the same; there will be nothing like the time w e spent at Proctor. To all the rest of m y good friends, especially Mike, Myles, U, Sloaner and Ty, you guys are great, if I could pick another group of friends to chill with, I wouldn't. Senior year was the best, w e ruled, nobody was stopping us. Remember SVC, he was a good kid (a gully kid) and all of us w h o knew him miss him, I wish he could have been here with us the whole way. Alex Mitchell, I still remember you m a n , you were a good guy and it is unfortunate it had to happen the way it did. The memories can go on forever, it started freshman year, and went right through senior year. "He paints paints." Project period every year, touch football in the gym. Thirds Soccer, 11-1-4, nearly an undefeated season. JV ball. Rigo in Spanish class. Half court for $5 anyone? Stevie Martinez, he was the man. JV football, fun time. Varsity ball, IKWCI. Mike, "Gotta put m y time in." (you too Max) Senior Year, it was awesome. I've had m a n y a good time in the past four years, m a y they continue in the future. "Well done is better than well said." - Benjamin Franklin

Adam Fitzpatrick

Mike Kaulbach

Well it took me four years to write this, so here it goes. First and foremost I would like to show my grateful and appreciation to m y parents for helping m e and putting m e through Proctor, thank you very much. Tim Norris (coach, teacher, advisor, collage counselor, and neighbor) and Kathy Ordway, you guys helped m e through m y four years and I would just like to say Thanks. I have had a lot of good times. Freshman and sophomore year in the gym, full contact 21. The Crew, if you don't know what and w h o that is you k n o w you are not part of it. A d a m , O k m a , M C Cohen, and Yuji, m y four year buddies. What would have happened if w e did not take over that table freshman year. Myles (My My), Mike, Ty, and I can't forget Sweety, you've all been good. Johann, Sean, and Ryan I wish you were here this year, it would have been awesome. And SVC, whatever did happen, "keepin it Gully." There have been many hours spent in the parking lot tooling around (max + wagon). JV football, what good times w e had, capture the football champion (reversed jerseys, right Adam?) Varsity football is where it is at, 435 for 82, I a m number 34. Wrestling is intense. Ski jumping is as close to being an airplane pilot as I will get. Jonesy, I know I beat you a couple times with in the last seven years. Baseball in the sun, it does not get m u c h better than that. I could not have had a better four years. Day student Mafia ruled the school, w h o could take us? Guys, it has been excellent knowing you; I hope the friendships continue and you have fun in life, at some point w e will do it again.

I came to Proctor "pretty hate free, ready to heal" dressed in m y John Deere hat and over sized T-shirt. I feel that during m y four years here at Proctor have exposed myself to experiences that have prepared m e for life outside the confines of cell #22, Fowler house. Ranging from varsity physical therapy to ingesting the rare delicacies at the Blackwater Diner these experiences have helped m e grow mentally and physically, and by physically I m e a n "I ate a baby". From day one when I fell d o w n the hill by the library and only 6 out of the 7 people watching laughed, I have suspicion o think that the 7th was blind, I knew this was the place or m e ! I felt like I was back under the big top. A n idol of mine. Jimmy Buffett, once said "Through all of the islands and all of the highlands, if w e couldn't laugh w e would all go insane." Thanks everyone for not making m e go insane. — Fibby-Cent

It is amazing h o w quickly four years can go by. Thank you M o m and Dad for giving m e the opportunity to be involved in such a great school, the people and the experiences have changed m y I i fe forever. Michael Murphy The Logic: There is none. Note quite true. You only see a couple of pictures here (assuming no "Yearbook" foul-ups...), and wonder w h y you aren't in them. If you k n o w m e well enough, you probably k n o w that I'm too lazy (and that there aren't 30 hours in a day) for m e to get m y senior page together with pictures of every person w h o deserves them, while doing m y college apps just off of Ocean. I could have put out tons of effort, and then forgotten someone's picture, leaving them very disgruntled. That would just suck. So instead, I've given you this little rant, and n o w I'll note everyone w h o should have their picture here, but doesn't. To eco dorm. M y h o m e at Proctor, best d o r m in m y mind, and thus a picture of the people and the dorm. To ocean, what a crazy trip. Something I won't be forgetting anytime soon. Thanks for being there, and all the memories. To all m y friends spread over Proctor, you deserve pictures too. Another thing that belongs here are pictures of m y friends outside of school, even though they'll probably never see this. This has been the best two years of school I've had, and probably couldn't have been that w a y without you guys. Again, if I tried to mention names, I'd forget someone, which would really suck. Besides, no one really needs their picture on m y little half page in this high school yearbook. There are other, better pictures, I'm sure, and the pictures that I'll remember you all by are in m y mind, and are that m u c h better for it.

Marco Abreu

To m y sisters Vanessa & Jacqueline: N o w I have oneThank you M a m i and Papi. There aren't enough more thing in c o m m o n with you two. Everyday I words to tell m y gratitude or pictures to show wondered when I would start m y o w n life like youhow happy I a m to have you as m y parents. You have in college. N o w it is m y time to begin m y o w n helped m e through the hardest times in m y life, and sat beside m e in m y joyous years. journey.

Matilda. I truly wish you were alive to see this day. The day I graduate from High Schoo There isn't a single day that I haven't looked back and thought about you, You were always an inspiration, and you still are. Bless you Matilda, for making m e and everyone arouriL you happier when you were with us. N o w some people mav know that I went to Phillips Exeter Academy (or two terms m y sophmore year This is lo all the teachets. friends, and the school itself that helped m e over there and to be able to come back where I belong, to Proctor. I never dreamed for this day lo come. the day I left m y home. N o w I have to say Good bye.

M y friends, h o w m a n y times you bring a smile to m y face. I remember freshman year I was this shy guy; even though I'd lived at Proctor all m y life, it was a new experience for me. You brought out the best in m e in many ways. I hope w e all get to see each other in the future, because I will never forget the years I've spent with you all.

Thank you Philips Exeter Academy for ing m e to continue m y eduaction at Procto' Academy. This has truly meant a lot to me Brooks thank you for advising m e throughm Proctor years. You are a great friend,

ongratulations!

You're the best Love, M o m , Jas, Jake and fili Grant, There are few people in this world who stay true to their morals and beliefs while still effortlessly meshing with the world of today. You are one of them.

The time is now, the place is here, you are free to blaze

your own trail to wherever your heart m a y lead you. Let your inherent compassion, omnipotent intuition, and ever expanding wisdom beyourguides, and know that

we will always be there for you. A s Thoreau said, "A ma is rich in proportion to the number of things he can let alone." You've already got it all within you, now it's time to harvest.

S o get ready to begin the path to unreasonable hap-

piness with a smile, and remember, as our buddy Toots Hibert says, man, "Faith can move mountains, but only love can set us free." Love, The Fam

For John One hand gives, the other takes. The ropes are loosed and tight A s sails strong fresh unfurl. Darkness gone, the morning comes, The ship, safe moored the night. Departs for unknown world. Harbor's passed, the seawall's breached. The wave crests call anew. A brave young sailor smiles. Winds rise up. The tide runs high. A wondrous world's in view, Uncharted days and miles. Outward bound, the journey waits. Adventures, rare to tread, Sound sirens' song to roam. Time began, n o w time is swift. The sailor turns his head. H e takes a last glimpse home.

Fair winds, my son.

We love you. M o m , Dad, Frances and Daniel

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
