Future plans for alumni activities. a. Life membership scheme which provides basic provisions like 1. Guest house 2. Digital library and eresources, 3. Dedicated alumni mail id, 4. A central dedicated website to access the alumni database, 5. An annual general function for alumni’s and much more. This facility will be open to all students who have passed out as BE/BTECH/MTECH/Phds and also current students. b. We are planning out official chapter formation guidelines which shall then be
uploaded on alumni website. Thus any new alumni can join the respective chapter as he graduates. Even various other chapter formations would be promoted.
c. We may even have specific meets like academicians meet, entrepreneurs meet etc. In
longer run
d. Quarterly news letter is one activity which we want to make sure happens so as to keep you updated.
e. Distinguished alumni awards is one such feature Director VNIT has assured a dedicated office for alumni purpose which is expected to come soon. This would serve as a one point contact for all alumni interactions. The time line for these implementations is before next alumni meet on 24th /25th dec2010 probably a much bigger one culminating the golden jubilee celebrations of VNIT/VRCE.
