Recognising What You Already Know
Following a meeting with the Programme Chair, the applicant was encouraged to apply for entry to the programme using RPL.
Formal, non-formal and informal learning was evidenced as part of the application.
Through the Recognition of Prior Learning Process, the applicant demonstrated their knowledge by:
Completing a 500-word written assessment Attending an interview to assess suitability Providing a CV and language competence evidence This process recognised formal, non-formal, and informal learning aligned with DCU’s RPL policy and programme standards.
Through RPL, the applicant accessed the programme and brought a depth of lived experience and Irish language proficiency to the academic setting.
