From Contempt to Contentment Navigating ADHD can be exhausting. Reaching the end of your rope within relationships can often leave everyone feeling distant, alone, and bitter. The underlying voice of contempt conveyed through attitude towards our spouse, child, or family members can be severely damaging to our relationships. Learning healthy habits to avoid growing resentful within a relationship can help us be effective during conflict, calm during negotiation, and compassionate when navigating differences. Attendees will understand the role blame and contempt play within struggling relationships, identify their own patterns that help or hinder, and learn healthy habits needed for relationship success and contentment. Stephanie Martin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Using a humorous and direct style, she helps parents, couples, and individuals learn new habits to achieve relationship success. She is located in St. Louis Park at the Relationship Therapy Center.
