2017 Gary Walters ’67 PVC Awards Banquet Special Issue

ACHIEVE. SERVE. LEAD.

It was our distinct honor to celebrate the great Class of 2017 at the Gary Walters ’67 PVC Awards Banquet on Thursday, June 1st, before Reunions. Over 650 members of the Princeton Athletics family gathered as part of this exciting event that recognized the accomplishments of the Princeton Athletics community, including senior student-athletes, alumni, staff and friends. We’d like to thank our loyal PVC members for their ongoing support. Your collective commitment to the Princeton Varsity Club and Princeton Athletics helps to provide opportunities for all varsity student-athletes to achieve, to serve and to lead while encompassing “Education through Athletics.” We also recognize the continued dedication of the PVC Awards Banquet table sponsors and PVC Letter Sweater sponsors whose generosity allows the PVC to properly recognize the entire graduating class of senior student-athletes. On behalf of all of our varsity student-athletes, head coaches, administrators, and the entire Princeton Athletics community, we thank and salute all of our supporters. We hope you enjoy this special issue of the PVC News and look forward to seeing you in 2017-18! Go TIGERS!

Senior Keynote Speaker

An anthropology major with certificates in theater and music theater, Sam was selected to represent the Class of 2017 and address the audience as a testament to his vast leadership with the lacrosse program and greater campus community.

Sam Gravitte ’17 “I firmly believe in Princeton’s motto of Education Through Athletics. To get better on the field or in the classroom, we surround ourselves with players or students that are “better” than us. I think that simple formula is what drew me to Princeton in the first place - I knew that I would be surrounded, on the field, in the classroom, wherever I might find myself, by an abundance of impressive peers who would challenge me and push me to develop.”
