Letter from the editor James Nolan When you’re in your late 20s and early 30s, April means one thing: The start of wedding season. From now until October, weekends will be filled with bridal showers (I have my first one of the year on Sunday), bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners and receptions. And if you’re planning your own wedding, you can throw in dress fittings, cake tastings, makeup trials….and I’ll stop there because I don’t want to give any of our brides-to-be an anxiety attack. Personally, I love wedding season. All of the events that coincide with weddings give me a chance to see friends and family, and I definitely don’t hate getting dressed up and partaking in an open bar and dance floor in the name of love. Which is why, this month, we’re focusing on, you guessed it: marriage and all the celebrating that goes along with it. Whether you’re a bride, a maid of honor, a guest, the date of a guest … we’ve got a post for you. Some of the ones I’m most excited about: an interview with a top bridal designer, and one of our favorite engaged ladies, plus makeup tricks for the big day, tips for looking great in photos, ideas for what to wear if you’re a guest, and I’m even going to share a bunch of the photos from my own wedding and a few other fab real weddings, too. But! If you don’t have white-dress fever, stay with us because weddings won’t be all we’re talking about this month. We’re still pretty obsessed with the fact that it’s spring, so we’re going to continue posting about warm weather style and beauty trends, and all of our other usual topics.
