All of our connecting elements and attachment parts are made exclusively out of high-quality stainless steel, making them corrosion-protected. Our environmentally friendly glazes are, of course, resistant to sweat and saliva in accordance with European standard EN 71. Why robinia wood? Robinia wood is the only type of wood cultivated in Europe to be found in durability class 1. Durability class

Robinia wood can be used outdoors without any need for prior treatment, making it a good alternative to tropical wood. Of all the types of wood available in Europe, robinia wood deserves special attention thanks to its resistance to abiotic and biotic influences. The main reasons for robinia wood’s high level of natural resistance are: Early tylosis formation: ‘Tyloses’ are invaginations of primary cell walls that can block vessels and prevent the transport of water and oxygen. Fungi and insects are thus deprived of a food source in wood where a high level of tylosis has occurred. Early hardwood formation: After just a few years, the robinia begins to store rubber and tanning agents. As a result, there is only a small amount of less durable, juvenile wood in the centre, and only a low amount of exterior sapwood (consisting of about 3—5 growth rings). The subtances that make the heartwood so hard are robinethin and dihydrorobinethin. There are no wooddestroying insects living in our latitudes that can target these substances in the robinia wood. Variety of colours If left unglazed, robinia wood develops a silvery patina. This natural colouration gradually becomes darker, particularly where water reacts with the wood’s tannin. “Water stains” will appear, albeit for a short while only. Eventually, the wood will end up with a naturally beautiful, silvery coating that matches its earthy feel. This is the standard ‘finish’ on all of our playground equipment. Its resistance makes it

maintenance-free, with no additional protection required in the form of wood preservatives or glazes. We do of course also offer a wide range of colours. Whether corn-coloured or multi-coloured, the elements can be coated with a complete (or partial) glaze. At our factory we are able to apply exactly the coloured glazes you want for your equipment.

See-saws and springers The classic “see-saw” lets a child move themselves up and down – as well as their partner. The children have to take it in turns in this playful form of communication. All our see-saws are made using natural, solid wood and feature stainless steel handles and bearings.

Slide and play towers

Slide and play towers We developed our Mountain Cottage with its stainless steel slide as part of a collaborative effort with a children’s after-school programm. Getting up to the top of the slide is a something of a challenge – children have to use the climbing wall, a rope ladder or a climbing rope. Thrilling climbing challenges up, underneath and on the house ensure a truly entertaining playground experience. There are also a table and seats for those quieter moments.

With a range of platform heights, our “Village Square” offers children of all ages exciting and safe opportunities to play. Like in a real “village community”, all children – from the old to the very young – can “pull their weight”. Joining forces, they can transport the sand upwards using the lift and feed it back down in the special gutter. The bridge between the two play towers is quite a wobbly affair, training children’s concentration. The climbing tower, with its pretty gabled roof, has a slide to round off the fun factor.

We use our play combinations to unite creative exercise activities in the playground, promising children all sorts of fun while at the same time getting them to train different motor skills. Play combinations 10.05.1. “Sylt” Barrier-free Play Combination 1670 x 1200 x 435 cm (L, W, H) In addition to the European standard EN 1176, we create our barrier-free accessible playground equipment in accordance with DIN 33942, the German standard on barrier-free accessible playground equipment. An example here is our “Sylt” combination, which we designed for a clinic. We adapt our equipment – down to the very last detail – to the needs of disabled users. For example, the angle and position of the slide need to be adjusted to accommodate limited motor skills and specific types of movement. Platforms and play towers require a certain height as well as wheelchairfriendly ramps and handrails. We would be happy to develop an individualised barrier-free combination with you.

Everything from one source: We developed this unique playground, which centres on a large tree house, for a client in Grethen in Germany. From the initial concept right down to the very last screw, design and construction are both taken care of by us – and us alone. We plan, design and build all of our constructions ourselves. This means we can stay flexible and cater to all of the needs of our clients. We can use particular shapes, colours

and attachments to lend any playground equipment a certain character that is perfectly suited to its surroundings. Here in Grethen, the shape of the net tunnel, routes and bridges as well as the individual artistic design of each element strike the perfect balance with the playground’s setting – the forest.

Ship ahoy! For children, our large play ships are an adventure in themselves. As well as plenty of exciting places to climb on deck, the “Treasure Hunter” has spaces where children can sit and take a break. On sand, the open floor also offers fall protection on the inside, at the same time doubling up as a large sandpit. There is an inner platform in the hull of the pirate ship, where children can also play and climb.

Water areas Water is not only cooling, but also extraordinarily exciting for children. Playing with water will attract little ones as if by magic – they can splash around, get muddy, and try something new as they get to grips with water and learn not to be afraid of it. Our resistant robinia wood is also suited to constant contact with water; thanks to its composition it is brilliantly protected. Amazon Paddle Steamer – Leipzig Zoo We constructed a ten-metre paddle steamer for Leipzig Zoo’s new South America zone, complete with stainless steel slide, a helm and even details like a compass and a tube telephone. Across three floors and in narrow corners and corridors, young adventurers can set out on exciting expeditions. A fitting addition in this South American world is our Indian-themed play equipment, which includes a Teepee and a Totem Pole and helps little ones to lose themselves in their Indian games.

Located in the beautiful countryside surrounding Salzburg, Grossarl, with its unique natural environment, culture and mysterious folklore, is a truly special tourist destination in Austria. We created this unique play area for “Rucki Zucki’s Gaudi-Alm”, a leisure centre in the Valley of the Alms, where it blends in wonderfully with the beautiful scenery. Here we designed an adventure playground which has since become yet another tourist attraction in the region. In between the large “Mining Adventure” Combination with its stainless steel slide, the Rope Ferry across the water, a Mud Works and the Play Tractor, visitors are greeted by lovingly carved wood figures that reference the region’s folklore and wildlife. With great sensitivity and a high level of carving skill, we succeeded in creating unique, artful pieces.

Witterzomer Holiday Park – The Netherlands The “Witterzomer” playground in the Netherlands illustrates perfectly the durability and superior quality of the sapwood-free robinia heartwood we use. Thanks to the wood’s resistant composition, the play ship and climbing courses can stand in the water permanently. Robinia wood is suitable for all kinds of playground equipment involving water. At Witterzomer, young pirates now have the ultimate setting for their imaginative games. The original Rope Ferry transports them safely back to dry land.

Kids’ Buffet at the Aquamaris Beach Resort – Ruegen Island We constructed a “Kids’ Buffet” for the four-star “Aquamaris” beach resort on Ruegen Island; it also serves as a meeting point as well as a painting and play area for children. The careful details – big and small – lend it a special charm. For example, there are hand-painted skulls and crossbones, a mast with a pirate flag and a large play cannon on a movable carriage. Rustic barrels provide seating. The light, artfully designed wall painting ensures an authentic maritime feel. We’ve succeeded in creating a feel-good area for all young hotel guests! “Egypt” – Leisure park with various themed areas At Leisure park with various themed areas we constructed an unique Egyptian-themed play area . Here children can journey back into an ancient era, marvelling at and exploring pyramids and obelisks. The “Pyramid” Combination encourages young visitors to get climbing, inviting them to traverse the ropes between the pyramid and obelisks. The Climbing Palm with stainless steel rungs and the Net Pyramid are highly individual constructions that are also visually extraordinary.

Wurzen Town Harbour – “A Haven of Relaxation”

We created a sea of colours in the poet Ringelnatz’s hometown of Wurzen in Germany. Here we designed a “haven of relaxation” right in the centre of town. On an environmentally friendly, blue safety surface made of wood chippings, a maritime oasis with a rowing boat, the “Dinghy” Play Ship, the “Jonathan” Spring Boat and a rocking raft awaits the children of Wurzen. The colourful Lighthouse is crying out to be climbed. From where it rests near the “Wave” Bench, a carefully carved wood figure of the “son” of the city – Joachim Ringelnatz – keeps watch over the colourful play area. There’s even a poetry sculpture with text by Ringelnatz to delight visitors, who can also take a seat on the “Lily Pad” and in the “In the Reeds” Seating Area. Acting as a gateway, an original “Harbour Wall” welcomes young guests.
