Women of Innovation
Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Presentation uses cutting-edge technology, an integrated arts and science curriculum and a hands-on approach to learning to inspire innovation. With eight clubs and major programs devoted to STEM, a 1:1 iPad program and more than 37 STEM courses to choose from, students are empowered and supported as they pursue their interest in math, science and engineering.
Mac Labs Presentation’s state-of-the-art computer labs includes 31 high-end, fully loaded iMacs to seamlessly bridge the gap between the art curriculum and technology. Each iMac includes a full Adobe suite for Digital Photography, Broadcast Journalism, Visual Art and Digital Media courses. As a result, students are exposed to industry standard equipment at an early age, making them that much more prepared for college and the workplace.
Math and Science Academy The Math and Science Academy is for students who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to STEM. There are many ways to participate in the academy, including: • Math and Science Colloquium: These interactive discussions are given on campus by experts in the fields of science and mathematics. Topics include cybersecurity, marine biology and global health initiatives. • Robotics: The Presentation Invasion is a “learn by doing” program where young women learn to design, manufacture, build, program and compete with robots in the FIRST Robotics competition. There are no prerequisites beyond a desire to learn about STEM-related fields. • Women in Computer Science: Members of this club learn about computer science, coding and technology through hands-on projects and field trips. • Girls Who Code: A spin-off of the Women in Computer Science club, Girls Who Code allows students to create games and apps through coding. Through guest lectures and field trips, students are exposed to leaders in the tech industry. • Math and Science Colloquium: Each year, Presentation hosts a wide range of STEM speakers for an exciting lecture series with an interactive discussion for students. • Synopsys Science and Technology Championship: Each year, Presentation High School students earn awards as the prestigious Synopsys Science and Technology Championship, a competition that showcases Santa Clara County students who have completed independent, project-based research in areas including computer science, environmental science, medicine and health.

“Presentation offers a nurturing environment which fosters individual development and growth. From the rigorous classes to the complex, integrated, and fun clubs and extra-curricular activities, I have found that my experiences at this school have shaped my outlook on the possibilities of women in STEM fields which are otherwise heavily male-dominated. We have the ability to apply what we learn through programs like Robotics, the Math & Science Independent Research community, and clubs such as WICS and Girls Who Code. Joining the Robotics team has expanded my perspective on how much we as young women have the ability to accomplish. Learning how to prototype, design, manufacture, and program the robot all while collaborating with teammates and building personal leadership skills, students get a taste of the professional field and compete on the global scale. Presentation takes an active role in pushing us to break the stereotypes and innovate, and I am so grateful for their support.”
