Cruising into Broometime!
Cruise guests are able to enjoy a variety of onshore attractions when they port in Broome. The beautiful, tropical climate of our region allows both luxury adventure small ships, and large cruise vessels with thousands of guests to arrive all year round.
For many cruise guests, this might be their first time visiting the Kimberley region, so creating a welcoming and lasting impression encourages cruise passengers to return to spend more time in Broome and beyond.

The Broome International Airport has recently completed a major upgrade to its arrivals terminal, which has enhanced the experience for international and domestic visitors flying into Broome.
Visitors are encouraged to speak to the friendly Visitor Centre staff who are on hand to greet each flight. The Broome Visitor Centre booth is easily located within the arrivals hall, and the staff are full of knowledge and recommendations of all there is to see and do in Broome.



TOWN BEACH – Guwarri
Located on the south east edge of Broome is Town Beach. The Town Beach Foreshore Redevelopment was completed in mid 2020. The kids will love the water park at Town Beach for cooling off after a play on the beautiful playground. The new Town Beach Jetty is proving a popular fishing spot too.

It is often said that Broome’s pearling industry is as rich in culture as it is in pearls. Gain insight into Broome’s unique heritage at Pearl Luggers, in the heart of Broome’s Chinatown. Learn the perils of the deep and discover first hand what made the pearl divers life so hazardous and what drove so many to put their lives at risk. View two of the last surviving and perfectly restored pearling luggers, the vessel synonymous with Broome, surrounded by a reconstructed tidal jetty and an authentic pearlers store.
