The latest break crop information Oil bonus boost for Spring Linseed
A new contract from Premium Crops, the UK’s leading supplier and buyer of Linseed, could be worth up to £60/tonne.
The new contract for Ultra High Omega-3 varieties, such as VT50 and Omegalin, now includes bonuses for oil content based on FOSFA 9A terms.
“The new oil bonus is worth 1% of the contract price for every 1% oil over 38%. This means you will earn up to an additional £60 per tonne” says Premium Crops Sales Manager, Sam Bazeley.
“And, there’s a guaranteed minimum oil bonus of £20 per tonne just for growing the high Omega-3 varieties”.

VT50 (aka ‘Nulin’) performs best at Higher sowing rates
Trials sown at three locations in 2022 confirm that the Ultra High Omega-3 variety, VT50, delivers the best results from higher sowing rates.
As a result, Premium Crops are now offering seed to all their contract growers at the ‘enhanced’, 1,000 seeds/m2, sowing rate at
same price per hectare as last year’s 800 seeds/m2 rate. That is 25% MORE SEED AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.
