Age 8-12 with Mimi Raghian certified Etiquette consultant, certified by the prestigious American School of Protocol. In this beginning level class, children will learn; the proper way of using a Napkin, Silverware, Glassware and two types of dining, Continental and American. They’ll learn how to set up a dining table, Table Manners, a Proper Introduction and Handshake, Eye Contact, Polite Conversation, Phone Etiquette, Thank you Notes, RSVP’s, Body Language, Good Posture, Proper Sitting, Standing, Style and Grooming. Lab Fee: $5 payable to Mimi at 1st class.

Age 5-12 with Chip McCarthy, woodworker for the past 30 years Kids learn to safely use hand woodworking tools to build an everincreasing range of projects as their skills increase. Kids love learning how to master the world around them. Chip will show them how to build what they are capable of building, helping them as necessary. Carpentry classes are taught with low ratios to ensure careful attention and respect for each child. Lab Fee: $35 due to the instructor for all supplies.

Story Writing Age 7-10 with Lekha School of Creative Writing The five elements of story writing will be the focus during this session. Students will be introduced to a variety of fiction and nonfiction genres. They will progress into genre writing and learn how each genre has its own set of particular rules that drives character creation, setting, and plot. During the second half of the sessions they will choose one of their short stories and improve upon that. This story will be published in the school anthology. Lab Fee: $10 payable to instructor at 1st class.

Essay Writing Age 9-12 with Lekha School of Creative Writing Students will learn the art of writing essays. They will write fiveparagraph essays as required by most schools. The focus of the week will be on creating strong hooks, powerful thesis statements and advanced transitions in order to make the essays flow. Animation Creators: Stop Motion Animation

with Freshi Media Age 7-12 Work with your favorite toys to create fun and original stop motion animations! Learning materials, software and cameras are provided. Students work together to create an original story and then create their story through animation. Basic concepts such as camera angles, storyboards, scripting elements and theme will be introduced.
