Year of memories in pictures

first valentines to kick off the 2025Loveland Valentine Remailing program. Members of the chorus from left are Eric Ferm, Bob Lano, John Bruggeman and Luke Kjolhede.
For Loveland, 2025 has been a year of highs and lows.
There has been turmoil in the Loveland City Council, closure of the city’s overnight shelter, closing of the Lake Loveland swim beach and cancellation of the city’s fireworks display.
But there have also been community members coming together to help one another, residents enjoying food and music at the annual Corn Roast Festival, new sculptures placed in Benson Sculpture Garden, and Valentine’s Day in the Sweetheart City. Students in the Thomp-
son School District have competed in athletics, staged school plays and spoken up politically in the wake of a school shooting in Evergreen.
New businesses have opened, and others have closed, like the downtown Safeway after 50-plus years.
Through it all, the Reporter-Herald has been there, documenting the year in pictures. We hope you enjoy this slice of life, captured in a camera lens.
