ou’ve gone bowling. You’ve hit the movies. And you’ve putt-putted more times than you can count. If you’re in the market for a new way to spend your nights in northern Colorado, Loveland’s forthcoming ax-throwing establishment, Axe to Grind, might be for you. “We are that something new,” said Jonathan Frazzell, Axe to Grind’s general operations manager. Axe to Grind is set to open this spring at 217 E. 3rd St. in Loveland, Frazzell confirmed. It will be the chain’s third location, joining sites in Manhattan, Kansas and Sioux City, Iowa. 10 |

Jumping on the ax-throwing bar trend that been spreading through major cities across the world, Axe to Grind is the second dedicated ax-throwing establishment to be announced in northern Colorado. In December, axthrowing bar The Axe and Ale announced it would open in Fort Collins this spring. Axe to Grind will feature ax-throwing lanes, but Frazzell said the Loveland location’s layout has not been fully determined yet. The business will welcome throwers 12 and older, though throwers who are under 18 will need to have a parent or guardian sign a waiver and be present while they throw.
