N

ewcomers to Greeley often comment on the number of parks they see in our community. With more than 40 parks and open spaces, you’ll find abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation. Our parks include walking trails, picnic shelters, sports courts, and playgrounds. During the summer, you can cool off at our pools and splash parks. Last year, a network of three new and state of the art skate parks were completed. Hazelton Park in west Greeley will open in the spring of 2020- making it Greeley’s 43rd park. The Poudre River Trail extends across the north side of Greeley for more than 20 miles. It’s perfect for walking, running, or cycling – or simply enjoying the calm along the Cache la Poudre River. Greeley’s streets include approximately 85 miles of designated bicycle paths for safe riding. Last year, 1.5 miles of a new regional trail with a major extension of the Sheep Draw Trail opened. Within Greeley’s city limits, you’ll find two highly-rated public golf courses at Boomerang Links featuring ample driving areas framed by native grass mounds reminiscent of the links of Scotland and Ireland and Highland Hills with tree lined fairways, rolling hills, and challenging greens. The Greeley Country Club private course highlights mature trees, manicured greens, tight fairways, and small targets from tee to green. The Eaton Country Club, about 15 minutes north of Greeley, offers a beautifully
