SPF is the key product the business offers. The average price for walls is $4 per square foot and it can be installed in both new and existing homes. New homes, Lane said, are often sprayed to “full envelope,” meaning the house is placed completely in a sealed barrier. SprayWest sprays under the basement concrete floor, up the basement walls in the basement rim joints, main floor walls, then the roofline. In retro-fit or existing constructions, SPF is often applied to rim joists and basements during renovations.

“Because SPF is light, versatile and has strong adhesive properties, it easily fills difficult to reach places and adheres to most clean surfaces,” said Lane. “SPF is also airtight, which eliminates all air infiltration or exfiltration. It is durable and odourless and it will not settle or shrink, adding structural integrity.”
