Army Band Day with the Band and Bugles of The Rifles Date

Open to
Woodwind, brass and percussion players whether or not a member of a Portsmouth Music Hub ensemble. NB: there is a minimum age of 14 on 28th March. There is no maximum age so adults are very welcome to join in.

Transport
A coach (no charge) will transport participants from Portsmouth to Winchester No coach is provided for the return journey. After the end of the concert at 4.30 pm, parents will need to take participants home. State on the application form if your child needs return transport and we will put you in contact with someone who might be able to give you a lift.
Timetable
08:30 - Coach departs Portsmouth for Sir John Moore Barracks, Winchester 09:45 - Briefing then workshops as full band and in sectionals 12:30 - Lunch break: bring your own packed lunch; drinks will be provided 13:30 - Marching workshop and display by The Rifles Band plus students! 14:00 - Final rehearsals 16:00 - Free concert for parents, families and friends 16:30 - Concert ends: students depart under own arrangements
