What a beautiful afternoon for a game of rounders!! The sun was shining down on us in Regent’s Park and the girls were really motivated and ready to play. They were super organised and knew exactly what they had to do.

PPS started off with a bang and quickly settled into the game whilst batting. The girls were connecting with the ball and made some fantastic hits, putting us on the scoring sheet. Bibi was the first to score a full rounder, followed by Razan to the delight of the team. Rosie was on fire and really switched on, moving between posts and scoring half rounders for the team. We then switched to fielding and I was so impressed with the tactical play within the game. We had some great fielding from Talia, Lily, Helena, Rosie, Bibi, Bea and Harrie to prevent NBH from scoring too many rounders. After the first innings, PPS were up 7.5 to 3 rounders.

In the second innings, PPS had to maintain the lead and after a half time talk, they were focused and ready to go. We saw some great hits from Sara, Bibi, Helena, Lily, Esther, Catherine, Bea and Rosie. We also saw some more great fielding to seal the deal and prevent NBH from scoring many more points.

To our triumph, PPS won the game by a staggering 13.5 to 5 rounders. It was such a delight to see them perform so well and really connect as a team to beat our archrivals, NBH. A huge well done to all the girls involved!! They should be extremely pleased with themselves. Player of the match went to Rosie who was outstanding throughout the game and a special mention goes to Sara who really gave it her all to win some vital points. Until next time!!
