GOLF, LAWN BOWLING, HEALTH & FITNESS

has been playing golf since 1968 & began tournament play in 1975. He won or placed at numerous golf tournaments including Heron Lakes 1993 Club Champion, Heron Lakes 1993-2007 8 times Senior Champion, & Clark County Senior amateur champion 1998. He has been a Senior Golf Instructor for 12 years. Larry says his two goals in teaching golf are to help students look like a golfer on the course, & most importantly, have fun.

Fore! Want to improve your golf game? Here's your chance! Lower your score using your present swing. Printed instructional materials will be provided. Bring clubs or you can rent a set from the Eastmoreland Pro Shop for $7.50. If it's raining, plan on purchasing range balls.

The Multnomah County Aging & Disability Service’s (ADS) 24-Hour Helpline provides specialized information & assistance by telephone, the internet, or in-office, to seniors & adults with disabilities. Needs could include: long-term care, financial assistance, in-home support, counseling, & more. Intervention services are available after hours on an urgent-need basis.

Hiking is his passion & he loves getting outdoors because “…walking in the woods is really cool! It's relaxing & meditative.” He says doing the wilderness hikes are valuable for many reasons, including becoming familiar the abundant natural resources our region holds. Lelooska Native American Performance

Set in the fire-lit replica of a Kwa'kwaka'wakw ceremonial house, this living history performance consists of dramatic narration & dance presentations of traditional Northwest Coast ceremonial masks. The performance is designed to give the audience an understanding of Northwest Coast First Nations culture, as well as a feeling of intimate participation in this living history. Wilderness Hikes are transported in 15 passenger vans.

Primary Pick Up Locations: 82nd & Siskiyou. Park facing 82nd. Meet 15 minutes prior to departure time.

Difficult. From the Windy Ridge Trailhead on the east side of Mt St Helens, hike to Loowit Falls, which flows out of the volcano’s crater. Views of Mt St Helens. This is a great hike but it's a long drive on a winding road to get the trailhead.

15 1072663 7/28 Cairn Basin (ZigZag) W 9-rt/2200 7am – 6pm

Difficult. Limit 12. From the Top Spur Trailhead, we will skirt Bald Mtn & then hike up the Timberline Trail past the ponds & the McNeil PT Junction to Cairn Basin. It is a steady climb, but fairly well graded. Fantastic views & wildflowers. Be prepared for a moderate stream crossing.

Difficult. Limit 12. We will hike the occasionally steep Fret Creek Trail to the Divide Trail. Then we will head down to the lookout tower at Flag Pt & return the same way. Great views of the Badger Creek wilderness & beyond; wildflowers.

Difficult. Limit 12. Enjoy a well-graded hike along Lost Creek to Burnt Lake. Then climb up East ZigZag ridge to the summit. Views of the Cascade peaks.

Difficult. Limit 12. Hike toward Mt Beachie on this Ridgecrest Trail northwest of Detroit. Great views of the central Cascades, wildflowers.

Difficult Limit 12. From the High Prairie Trailhead near Lookout Mtn, we will hike through the Badger Creek wilderness to Gunsight Butte. Spectacular views of Mt Hood.

Difficult. From the Johnston Ridge visitor center at Mt St Helens, we will hike the Boundary trail past the Harry’s Ridge trail to the point where the trail passes through a natural arch; views of Mt St Helens, Spirit Lake. No shade on this trail.
