This initiative allowed locals to raise issues with the Mayor on a one to one basis. Eight locals discussed issues ranging from art installations, the draft local board plan, the welfare of geese in Western Springs, Auckland Transport infringements, Auckland Plan and community resilience and the 015 bus service. The Mayor in the Chair idea was Len Brown’s own idea and he plans to hold meetings all over Auckland in the months to come.
