Supermodel Gisele Bündchen has been a face of Brazilian jewelry brand Vivara for years.

Vivara is the largest jewelry in Brazil, and Gisele Bündchenis one of the most prominent ecowarriors in the world, and particularly in her home country of Brazil. Together, they make sweet music for stones lovers.

This ambiguity of published sustainability goals at Vivara runs counter to the growing embrace of a full transparency approach among luxury jewelers.

With Gisele’s strong environmental credentials on the line as the face of Vivara, we can only assume that she is satisfied with the environmental credentials and overall sustainability commitment progress of the brand.

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend Bündchen’s emergence in the late 1990s ignited a sea change in fashion, away from the louche androgyny that dominated the industry at the end of the last century and toward a new vitality and vivacity that she would come to represent at the beginning of this one. It wasn’t just the way she looked but the kind of energy she embodied— strong, earthy, unencumbered, with a big, easy smile and permanent beach waves. From 2002 to 2016, Bündchen was listed by Forbes as the highest-paid model in the world. Even after she moved to Boston and scaled back her runway and campaign work following her marriage in 2009 to then New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, with whom she shares 14-year-old son Benny and 11year-old daughter Vivi, the power and marketability of that image never seemed to subside. And when Bündchen and Brady announced plans in 2022 to divorce amid his retirement (and subsequent unretirement and re-retirement) from football, it took on newer—and in some ways even more challenging—dimensions.

The specter of Gisele, though, is something with which Bündchen has always had an uneasy relationship. Early on, it was a persona she could hide behind—one that brought her an extraordinary amount of wealth and opportunity. But it also required her to live up to an ideal that even she has often found unattainable. She has spoken in the past about her struggles with anxiety and depression and how she believes choosing to focus on her own physical and mental well-being has helped her to not only confront and manage those issues but also understand what she really wants.

What Bündchen wants now, as she embarks on this next chapter, is to become a different kind of model: the kind who opens up about her triumphs and successes but also her challenges and imperfections and lets you in on the rarefied wisdom she’s gleaned along the path to leading a healthier, more joyful life.

Hublot Polo Gold Cup Kielder Agro Group is the winner of this year’s Hublot Polo Gold Cup in Gstaad. Polo was a sport of strategy, combat, and patience: and Britain’s Max Charlton proved to be the strongest at this game. All the talent of Raul Laplacette could do nothing about it, despite being named best player of the match.

It was a defensive final which, naturally, concluded with a low score of 6-5. It was unbearable suspense until the end, with each team returning goals blow for blow. With only two minutes left on the clock, a remarkable individual play by Raul Laplacette leveled the score once again, and with mere seconds to go, Max Charlton took advantage of another 60-yard penalty. It was the goal that ultimately determined the match.

“Yes, it was a tough fight played out on penalties,” the Briton admitted. “We won today because we were a little bit luckier than Gstaad Palace since both teams were on equal footing. But I’m particularly pleased to have won here, for Phillipp [Müller, his captain]. It’s amazing!”

The opening match, the final for third place, was clinched

by French captain François Okala’s team, donning the distinctive J.Safra Sarasin colors, after an action-packed second chukker.

Argentinian handicap 6 Horacio Fernandez Llorente led the charge, capturing four goals. The “blues” dominated the match from start to finish, after measuring up the pitch they only discovered last Thursday.

“Actually…not quite,” Tete Fanelli was keen to point out.

“This is the third time I’ve played here. I’ve been a finalist twice before but lost on both occasions. I thought this would be my year, so I’m not completely satisfied with third place. That doesn’t stop me from enjoying this tournament enormously—the organization, the environment, the atmosphere. So I’m looking forward to coming back here and leaving with the watch!”

So, maybe next year from August 21-24. The date has already been set for this one-of-a-kind tournament, whose teams continuously express their satisfaction before they return home. This edition was no exception, an extraordinary celebration of polo that couldn’t possibly be spoiled by a little cold on Sunday.

Guards Polo Club A very special trophy was awarded on International Day at Guards Polo Club The Ferguson Trophy is awarded to the best British young player of the year, and for 2024 it was presented to the incredible Milly Hine.

Milly has won twice for England this season and has an enviable list of wins to her name. This was the first time the trophy has gone to a female player since the legendary Nina Clarkin won in 2004.

The trophy was presented by former HPA Chairman and former Fip Polo President Nicholas Colquhoun-Denvers.

Vacheron Constantin launch Métiers d'Art Tribute to traditional symbols Vacheron Constantin pays tribute to ancient Chinese culture with its new Métiers d'Art - Tribute to traditional symbols series, featuring two interpretations of the "Seawater Cliff", a legendary th Chinese motif that first appeared in the 14 century. This depiction of wave-lashed cliffs belongs to the cultural tradition of Imperial China, a special field of study for Mr. Song, the Former Associate Research Librarian of the Palace Museum, who guided the Vacheron Constantin artisans on this project. Housed in a 38 mm- diameter case in 18K pink or white gold, powered by Calibre 2460 driving central hours and minutes hands, these dials provide a forceful, beautiful expression of Chinese cultural symbolism.

Métiers d'Art – Tribute to traditional symbols – Eternal Flow (Limited Edition of 15 pieces each) Using cloisonné enamelling, a technique originating in China, 220 gold wires are laid to delineate the enamelling fields forming 'the 'Seawater Cliff' motif, requiring more than 50 hours of work.

Followed with enamelling itself in successive layers according to colour and intensity. A final polish completes the work to highlight the gold cloisonné and lastly, a translucent enamel coating instils a unique glow to this highly architectural composition, enhanced by the finesse of the lines and ancestral expertise.

Métiers d'Art – Tribute to traditional symbols – Moonlight Silvers (Limited Edition of 15 pieces each) For the second 'Seawater Cliff' motif the master artisan has used a blend of techniques to achieve a depth effect on a monochrome base. Divided into three parts, the first is made of deep-blue Grand Feu enamel applied in successive kiln-fired layers which is followed by patient engraving. For the second part, each sea tide is delicately hand-set with diamonds. Then the third part is meticulously engraved with tone-on-tone champlevé enamel inlays to accentuate the depth of the landscape.

An enchanting symbol of harmony and peace, at the heart of "La Feuille" (meaning "leaf") is a striking 5.0 carat octagonal peridot. Staring into the vibrant facets of the spring-green stone, one imagines a leafy canopy, with spring sunlight filtering from above.

This vivid peridot gemstone has a fitting provenance, sourced from the Fuli mine in the foothills of China’s tranquil Changbai Mountains.

This unique crossover ring enjoys Aurelia & Pierre’s characteristic elevated design touches. Curving around the peridot, the leaf motif is gently shaped to evoke a naturalistic feeling of movement.

TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Seafarer × Hodinkee

Hodinkee, the leading destination for all things watches and horology, has partnered with luxury watch manufacturer TAG Heuer for their third collaboration. Together, they announce the launch of the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Seafarer × Hodinkee.

The past collaborations with TAG Heuer, the Carrera Skipper and Carrera Dato, were homages to the history of TAG Heuer.

With each of those collaborations, Hodinkee didn’t set out to reproduce the original, but rather to move it forward. The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Seafarer x Hodinkee is no different, designed as a revival of the iconic Abercrombie & Fitch Seafarer, which Heuer produced for the sporting goods retailer from the 1950s into the 1970s. A thoroughly modern Carrera, but updated for today’s adventures with the design ethos of one of Hodinkee’s very favorite and most notable vintage Heuer references. Maintaining the color codes and bezel aesthetic from the 1968 model, this collaboration thoroughly embraces the modern spirit of TAG Heuer. The Seafarer is a legendary watch with roots in the mid-century and is a reference that is reminiscent of a playful and sun-soaked era in watchmaking—one in which watches were being put to the test, worn hard, and often designed and used for specific pursuits. The Seafarer evokes images of the sea, the sand, and the sun and brings to mind the name Abercrombie & Fitch.

In celebration of 1968, when Heuer introduced the Reference 2446C Seafarer, Hodinkee produced 968 pieces of the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Seafarer × Hodinkee. As with the last two Hodinkee x TAG Heuer collaborations, 125 pieces will be sold by Hodinkee in the Hodinkee Shop. The remaining pieces will be available via TAG Heuer at boutiques and retailers worldwide. The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Seafarer × Hodinkee will retail for $7,950.

“The story of the Seafarer captures so much that makes watchmaking exciting: technical innovation, design, collaboration, and a chance to understand how business was conducted in the mid-20th century,” said Nicholas Biebuyck, Heritage Director at TAG Heuer. “America was the key market during the period and thanks to the friendship between Walter Haynes, President of Abercrombie & Fitch, and the Heuer family, not only did this great innovation come into the world, but it helped Heuer build its incredible reputation for timekeeping excellence in a region that would become vital to its future. Given that it was a US retailer who launched the Seafarer originally, it made perfect sense to debut this piece with our great friends at Hodinkee for our limited edition together.”

“TAG Heuer is one of Hodinkee’s first partners, and we don’t take that lightly,” said Jeff Hilliard, Sr. Director of Limited Editions at Hodinkee. “For our third Limited Edition collaboration with them, we wanted to do something special. But when we asked them to bring back the tide complication, we figured it was a longshot, since we knew there would be significant research and development that was involved. Interview with Dr Simon Ourian, Co-Founder of Simon Ourian M.D and Celebrity Cosmetic Dermatology Doctor Tell us a bit about yourself, how did you start your career?

I emigrated to the U.S. from Iran with my family as a teenager in the 1980s. After completing my undergraduate degree at California State University, I pursued my medical degree at Wayne State University in Michigan. My journey continued with a residency at UCLA, followed by postdoctoral training in dermatologic lasers and surgeries at Harvard Medical School.When I first encountered lasers, they were a new technology, and I was immediately captivated. I dedicated myself to learning everything I could about lasers and aesthetic medicine, which became my passion. My background in painting and sculpting gave me a unique edge as a cosmetic dermatologist, allowing me to approach my work with an artist's eye for detail and form. A defining moment in my life was watching the movie Ash Wednesday with Elizabeth Taylor when I was a child. The film's focus on cosmetics and rejuvenation inspired me and planted the seeds for my future career in the beauty industry. Later in life, my interest in aesthetics led me to undergo a nose job, a minor surgery that profoundly boosted my confidence. This experience deepened my fascination with the field and reinforced my commitment to helping others enhance their self-confidence through aesthetic procedures. In the early 2000s, I opened my practice in Beverly Hills, quickly gaining recognition and attracting an A-list clientele.

My clinic became one of the first in California to specialize in non-invasive procedures and aesthetic lasers, offering cuttingedge treatments to Hollywood's elite. This eventually led to the development of my Coolaser and Coolbeam laser technologies, which have become known for delivering remarkable results. My success has been driven by my unwavering attention to detail, classical training in aesthetics, and a willingness to push boundaries and innovate. I’ve developed non-surgical techniques that achieve results comparable to surgical procedures, which has been a key factor in the reputation I’ve built over the past 25 years. Which is apt, as Coco Chanel was also influenced by these – featuring her astrology sign (Leo’s lion) in some of her fashion creations. It is these talismans that inspired the colour palette for this season’s Clairvoyance collection.

Clairvoyance is makeup artist Cécile Paravina’s first collection for Chanel, as Chanel Global Creative Makeup Partner. Her use of intense purples, striking greens and supernatural oranges gives the collection an air of mystery with these spellbindingly beautiful shades. Situated on a plot of around 4000m2 along the shores of Anadolu Hisari, this home blends the rich cultural heritage of the site with a modern approach that expresses the brand’s taste for sophisticated refinement.

The design ethos of escapefromsofa fuses the historical essence of the location, which dates back to the Byzantine era, by integrating ceiling mouldings and employing an earthy palette throughout to reflect the surrounding nature.

The home itself, constructed during the Ottoman period, is situated behind a classic waterfront mansion historically used as a winter lodge, showcasing the architectural and cultural richness characteristic of its time.

Sport of Kings, King of Sports Polo is a game with a rich cultural history. Originating in Persia over 2,000 years ago, it is one of the oldest team sports in recorded history.

In the beginning, polo was a training game for cavalry units. To these warlike tribesmen, who played it with as many as 100 to a side, it was a miniature battle.

The Moguls were then responsible for taking the game from Persia tot he East, where it became known as “the sport of kings“.

Polo is taken from the word ’pholo’ meaning ’ball’ or ’ballgame’ in the Balti language of Tibet.

By the 16th century polo was well established in India in Mainpur, the English Army Officers discovered the game. They went on to found the world’s first polo club.

Today, more than 77 countries across the world play polo. It was an Olympic sport from 1900-1939.

Polo continues to represent the pinnacle of sport. This is a feeling epitomised by the famous verse inscribed on a stone tablet next to a polo ground in Gilgit, Pakistan:

This summer, I boarded SeaDream 1 in Athens, for an 8-night tour of the Greek Islands, Sicily and Malta. If, like me, your cruise is departing from Athens, the best place to stay is the 5star Sofitel Athens Airport. Flights from the UK and US tend to arrive in Athens very late. Sofitel Athens Airport is directly outside the terminal building - a 3-minute walk across the road from baggage reclaim. It is chic, stylish and comfortable, with an exceptional sweet and savoury breakfast buffet to fuel you up for yacht embarkation and the day ahead. Most importantly however, is that it’s cool (something especially important during a hot Greek summer)and quiet (soundproof windows protect you from all airport traffic). Its aesthetic is clean and sleek, with marble floors and large open spaces. Taxis are readily available within seconds, and concierge will bring one to the door when it is time to leave. Piraeus - the port in Athens - is approximately 45 minutes away.

The time from arriving at Piraeus port to sipping a cocktail onboard SeaDream 1 was less than 10 minutes. SeaDream have made the embarkation process completely stress-free by anticipating your every need and question. You are ushered through security then taken directly to the gangway where the captain personally welcomes you onboard with a cool towel and a refreshing drink. Rather than having to queue to check in and get your stateroom key, you are seated next to a delectable buffet of fresh canapés until it is your turn to approach the desk. Then, by the time you proceed to your stateroom, your luggage will be there waiting for you. It’s a sleek, streamlined, and flawless process.

There are several classes of stateroom on-board the two twin SeaDream yachts. The most numerous being the Club Staterooms on decks 3 and 4. The size of the suite and its bathroom is one which you would expect from a luxury hotel on land, so on a cruise it is something special that you don’t see often. Included in your cruise price is a minibar that’s restocked daily with your personal favourites, a huge digital library of movies on your stateroom TV, a 24-hour room service menu, fresh ice restocked throughout the day and daily gifts you’ll find on your bed after turndown. For even more discerning travellers, a handful of Owner’s Suites, Commodore Suites and Admiral Suites have even more space and amenities.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served on-deck at the Top of the Yacht bar and Topside Restaurant, where your can enjoy the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets, sea breeze and stunning views.

Dinner is also sometimes served inside in the Dining Saloon. A decision is made each night based on temperature and humidity so that guests can have the experience that will be the most enjoyable for them. It’s during your dining moments onboard that you’ll really experience how exceptional and dedicated a crew they have onboard. Nothing is too much trouble and special requests are welcomed. Breakfast and lunch feature a mix of both buffet and à la carte, and dinner is all à la carte, with both fixed and daily changing options. The choices are extensive as all diets and food palettes are catered for. Pre-dinner cocktails, caviar and canapés are served in the main salon or by the pool. The food onboard a SeaDream voyage really is first-class. You can choose a fine-dining option or something heartier and more robust like steak and chips. A mix of cuisines can also always be found, as the chefs come from a range of countries, and each bring their own influence to the menus. Once during every voyage, the chefs will present a Dessert Extravaganza after dinner – an incredible, vast buffet of sweet treats presented in the main salon. It is not the be missed.

Every day, except for an odd sea day, the yacht docks at a different destination, allowing you to go ashore and explore. I visited several Greek Islands, Sicily in Italy and both Maltese islands. SeaDream offer a range of excursions called Land Adventures at each place, if you would prefer an organised activity rather than being left to your own devices. These range from walking tours to wine tastings and historical sites. You are also welcome to stay onboard your SeaDream yacht and enjoy the amenities and activities available there. From the luxurious Balinese beds on desk to sunbathe on and read from, to the onboard spa, casino, cinema, yoga classes, golf simulator and gym. Except for certain premium wines, champagnes, and whiskies, all your alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included.

You can take advantage of the onboard sommelier who can recommend house champagnes and wines, or the expert cocktail makers who can whip you up a refreshing treat to enjoy as you while away the hours on the yacht.

There is also off-yacht sea swimming and water sports available at selected times, dependent on the weather and location. When these windows happen is determined by the captain and are well worth taking advantage of when the possibility is there. Another special activity, that is complimentary but gets booked up quickly, is sleeping outside under the stars. The crew will make up a Balinese bed for you on-deck so that you can spend the night outside. If you have a special occasion, the whole area at the front of the yacht can be roped off for you overnight to have a romantic, private night under the stars.

Ricardo Guadalupe is appointed Honorary President of Hublot. As CEO since 2012, he has orchestrated the brand's remarkable growth over two decades and now wishes to step back from operational management.

Julien Tornare is appointed CEO of Hublot. Currently holding the role of CEO of TAG Heuer, he will succeed Ricardo Guadalupe.

Antoine Pin is appointed CEO of TAG Heuer. General Manager of Bvlgari Horlogerie since September 2019, he will succeed Julien Tornare.

Julien Tornare Active for 26 years in the watchmaking industry, Julien initially worked at Raymond Weil for two years before spending 17 years at Vacheron Constantin, branch of Richemont, first as Director for the Swiss Market, subsequently as the Brand’s US President, the HQ International Sales Director and finally as Managing Director for Asia-Pacific. He then developed further his management and leadership skills as the Zenith CEO. He graduated from the IMD and the London Metropolitan University.

MB&F and Chanel announce a partnership Thanks to a strategic investment by Chanel, MB&F takes a major step to ensure its long-term future MB&F is thrilled to announce a partnership with Chanel, who has taken a 25% stake in the independent high-end watchmaking brand. Founder Maximilian Büsser retains the majority of MB&F with 60%, while his partner in the company, Serge Kriknoff (Head of R&D & Production), owns 15%. Max and Serge will continue to lead MB&F together with Charris Yadigaroglou (Head of Marketing Communications) and Thibault Verdonckt (Head of Sales).

Chanel’s minority stake ensures stability and resilience with a strong strategic shareholder, sharing the same values and guaranteeing that MB&F’s long-term strategy will be maintained.

Maximilian Büsser comments: “It was our responsibility, in today’s very favourable context and with our management team in its prime, to take this major step to ensure our long-term future – a natural evolution for a company celebrating its 20th anniversary next year. Chanel launched its own watchmaking in 1987, setting up a watch design studio on Place Vendôme in Paris and investing in G&F Châtelain Manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland, acquired by the group in 1993. The investment in MB&F follows similar investments in high-end watchmakers Romain Gauthier (2011) and F.P. Journe (2018), which have remained independently run.

Engel & Völkers lists villa by design icon Eileen Gray The iconic villa “Tempe à Pailla” by the celebrated Irish designer Eileen Gray (1878-1976) is now up for sale in the south of France. Engel & Völkers is listing the property on the market for an asking price of 3.5 million euros. The property is located in Menton on the Côte d’Azur and was home to the British painter Graham Sutherland (1903-1980) from 1955 to 1979. “This exciting residence is an excellent opportunity to acquire not only an important piece of design history, but also the place of work of one of the most important proponents of the English avantgarde,” says Marie-Claire Sangouard, Managing Director of Engel & Völkers Market Center Côte d’Azur.

Iconic artist’s residence in a dream location on the Mediterranean The villa known as “Tempe à Pailla” is set in the idyllic hinterland surroundings of the French Riviera, on a 3.6-hectare plot with sweeping views of the countryside and the Mediterranean. Built in 1934 and now listed for its historic significance, it is the second property designed by Eileen Gray after the famous Villa E-1027, and used by her as a personal retreat. In 1956, the English painter and graphic artist Graham Sutherland purchased the villa and added an extension in 1960 with a white façade and 194 square metres of additional living space. Sutherland, who lived here until shortly before his death in 1980, renamed the property “La Villa Blanche”.

The building is designed according to Gray’s modernist architectural principles, aligned with those of Le Corbusier. It combines an open plan layout with clean lines and formal reduction.

The interiors now span some 400 square metres in total, set over three levels, with eight bedrooms, five bathrooms, several living rooms, two kitchens, and two terraces boasting panoramic views of the Mediterranean. Outdoor steps lead to a terraced, natural garden. “The villa enjoys cult status as the crowning glory of Eileen Gray’s work as an architect. All the original elements of her design have been preserved and bear her unmistakable signature. Graham Sutherland found enormous inspiration for his artistic endeavours here, right through until the end of his life. It is rare that a property with such an important place in the history of art and design comes onto the market,” says Marie-Claire Sangouard.

The villa is currently in need of renovation. All of Eileen Gray’s original fixtures and furnishings are intact and in good condition.
