The holiday season is a wonderful time to make memories and doesn't have to be expensive. This guide is filled with local, low-cost, and free activities that the whole family can enjoy. From festive lights and cozy storytimes, to holiday parades and hands-on crafts, there's something for everyone to explore. Relive your favorite childhood nursery rhymes, fairy tales, and family movies in a magical indoor walk-thru forest! The Linn County Expo hosts this gigantic indoor Christmas display as part of the Mid-Valley Magical Holiday Celebration, which includes the famed Pastega lights. Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus and take pictures.

Free Twice Around Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting Downtown Albany

The parade rolls through the streets of Historic Downtown Albany. Families can spread out along the entire 8-block route to view the parade. There will be a short break after the parade, and then the Community Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place in the Two Rivers Market parking lot, on the corner Ferry and Second Streets.

Santa's Carousel Connection is Coming to Town!

Victorian Christmas at Heceta Head

Heceta Head Lighthouse, 92072 US-101 S, Yachats

Enjoy the majesty of the beautifully decorated Keeper’s House while listening to live music from generous local performers! Parking is at Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic View for $5 per vehicle to support the State Park (cards only). A free shuttle from the parking lot to the Keeper’s Home is provided.

The walk up to the lighthouse after dark, so bring your flashlight and jacket.
