Space Gallery St Barth is delighted to present new gallery artist, Isabelle Lindbergh and present the Spirit of the Wind series.

"For this series, my work has focused on my favorite element: Air. Air gives a feeling of elevation and strong energy. The essence of my pictures consists of metaphors responding to the expression of nature though humans but also the connections they have with their environment. I aim to tell a unique story with each piece, and invite the viewer to adopt new perspectives when contemplating a piece.

Each piece starts with the location and feeling

the energy of the place, then the connection that the model feels and expresses in situ."

The endless landscapes that form the backdrop and inspiration are totally sauvage and immediately recognisable as St Barth.

Nothing superficial, only nature and human.

Lindbergh likes to let the models move in their own way, connecting with the wind and being pulled from one side to the other by the long 16 metre silver sheet, which she uses to

harness the power of the wind - making the invisible, visible. Nature is part of the storytelling and its unpredictability plays the co-starring role in these pieces.

It is a dance between the elements and the model.

These innocent moments are always organic and free-spirited.

"In my work, we feel mobility and freedom. The pieces focus on my ability to capture the place and the model in movement. It’s important for me to find people that are not just models. They also have a story, something to tell us. For me photography goes beyond the limits of concepts and imaginations, and my photography aims to express what we feel but cannot see."

From the photoshoot through to the production of the print, every step is important. The printing process used is Piezography ,which is the highest-standard in black and white printing. It is the only system capable of printing tens of thousands of gray levels that capture the depth and nuance of the image. This is produced from the increased load of high quality carbon pigment being printed combined with up to seven shades of carbon ink.

Photographer and pilot Isabelle Lindbergh, was born in Senlis near Paris, France. Granddaughter of American aviator Charles Lindbergh, (the first to cross the North Atlantic non-stop. In May 1927). Lindbergh formalised her exploration of the arts by embarking on photography studies at some of the most renowned schools in France, including the ESSAG Penninghen graphic art school in Paris and Les Goblins Paris. In 2015 she obtained her Masters in photography. Since graduating 10 years ago, Lindbergh’s "savoir-faire" has been requested in various fields, from fashion, cosmetics and luxury to music. Her focus has now turned to fine art and having the freedom to explore her full creative vision.

"Today I feel confident in my approach and it is important for me to express my artistic language outside of the advertising world, devoting myself to more personal and intimate series that reveal a search for sincerity, simplicity and authenticity."

TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!

This season Space Gallery puts artist Hannah Polskin on the map with the launch of a solo exhibition titled Infinity. Hannah’s work is warm, organic, pure and makes you feel a certain way.

It gives elegance and soul to any interior and hence she sits at the cusp of art and design.

For the exhibition, the artist showcases her world of undulating art which often is created

over multiple panels and with the curves and lines rolling onto the sides and the next panel seamlessly. There is liquidity, a flow not only of the paint but the energy too.

In this eight piece collection, Infinity explores the continuous nature of Polskin’s abstract motifs. With no beginning and no end, each shape is composed of her characteristic loops

and curves that fold back on themselves to create a rolling rhythm. Set against a backdrop of distressed and weathered woods, the never-ending nature of these abstracts harmonize with the timelessness of the natural material for a multi-sensory effect.

Hannah’s choice of wood as a material, often serves as the inspiration for collectors wanting to create a custom piece. Clients can select the wood finish of their choice and create custom work with the artist – selecting every element from the wood burl, size, color palette, shape and look of the work to produce their own custom piece.

The artist and designer originates from NY and currently lives and works in Los Angeles. A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, Hannah works at the intersection of fine art and design to create “livable art” with a freeform aesthetic that bleeds across each project. Conceptually, she’s most inspired when she’s tasked at taking over an entire space—that includes paintings, mirrors, kitchen islands, rugs, menorahs and more for a completely immersive experience.

Hannah’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Domino, The Coveteur, Art Business News, Forbes and Modern Luxury Interiors among many other prestigious publications.

"Eden To Go" is a very friendly place welcoming everyone, islanders and tourists, in a warm atmosphere. In the morning, they can't resist our capuccinos, fresh juices and pastries, but also salads and sandwiches.

Some stop by for a packed picnic or for lunch on their way back from the beach on our lovely terrace. Teatime is also very popular with tasty treats made by the Eden Rock Pastry Chef, Rémy Gleizes. Then early in

the evening, you can choose from our aperitifs and dining suggestions. Our goal is to please our guests, so our catering service will be delighted to deliver "Eden To Go" to your villa for breakfast, brunch, lunch and/or dinner, all tailormade by our teams for you…
