Located in the heart of the South Downs, the AgriFood Centre at Plumpton College is a state-of-the-art venue designed for training, networking, and events.
Open since early 2023, it serves as a hub for rural communities and businesses across the Southeast.
Easily accessible with free parking and mainline stations nearby (Lewes – 16 min, Haywards Heath – 20 min), the centre accommodates up to 300 delegates, making it an ideal choice for your event.
A Unique Setting in the Heart of Our Campus
Your event will take place at the very centre of our stunning 2,500-acre estate within the South Downs National Park. As a leading provider of land-based education, our campus boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including an eco-innovative animal management centre, specialist motor vehicle, blacksmithing, and forestry workshops, and a dedicated tractor and machinery training area.
ACCOMODATION & CATERING
We offer on-campus accommodation with 180 rooms, available during holiday periods, offering scenic views across the estate. Our in-house catering team provides a range of dining options, from breakfast to formal dinners, with services available at Graze Café in the AgriFood Centre, our dining room, or bespoke event locations.

• Lambert Farm – One of the UK’s largest commercial college farms, featuring beef, sheep, pigs, dairy, and arable enterprises. Our biosecurity centre, a £1.2 million pig unit, and the latest Lely Atlantic robotic milking systems ensure high-welfare, modern farming practices.
• St Michael’s Church – A historic 12thcentury church listed in the Domesday Book, where we celebrate seasonal events and offer a unique venue for weddings and special occasions in partnership with the local parish.
• Commercial Winery – Home of Plumpton Estate Wines – As the UK’s centre of excellence for wine education, Plumpton College is the only institution in Europe, offering master’s level wine courses in English. With 10 hectares of vines, a commercial winery, and 30,000 bottles of internationally award-winning wines produced annually on campus, we provide an unparalleled setting for winefocused events.

THE RIDGE VIEW
Home to our bakery training programmes, this fully equipped kitchen is ideal for culinary demonstrations, cooking classes, and food industry innovation events.
It features 12 workbenches fully equipped with hobs and ovens, along with separate storage and changing areas to maintain high food hygiene standards.
A mounted rig at the trainer’s workstation allows for overhead filming, with a TV, speakers, microphone, and studio lighting for professional presentations and recordings.

THE TRAINING KITCHEN
WEALD VIEW
Our largest event space, perfect for conferences and highcapacity events, with stunning panoramic views across the Plumpton Estate.
This versatile space can be divided into two smaller rooms or used as one for maximum flexibility. The private terrace provides an additional breakout or networking space.
Equipped with built-in AV technology, handheld and lapel microphones, and soundproof partitions for simultaneous events.

A premium meeting space with 180° panoramic views through floor-to-ceiling glass walls.
Ideal for board meetings, executive networking, and private receptions, with direct access to the upper terrace for outdoor breakout sessions or drinks receptions.
Equipped with specialist AV technology, including built-in loudspeakers, microphone array, and a high-quality camera, enabling seamless hybrid meetings with remote attendees.
