SECURITY DEPARTMENT UPDATE

CMMC 2.0 completed its 60-day Congressional Review period without any changes. Rulemaking is now complete and the new program is in effect. Companies should now begin working towards their CMMC certifications and certified Third-Party Assessor Organizations can begin assessments in accordance with the guidance in the rule. (Dodcio/defense.gov/CMMC)

PSI has been actively working on our CMMC certification and have an appraisal scheduled in August/September. We’re building a new environment for handling CUI to meet the requirements and address Microsoft compliance issues. The CMMC Enclave will be certified to be able to handle CUI and comply with the 110 controls required per CMMC Level 2. The CMMC Enclave is built upon Microsoft’s Government Community Cloud –High (GCC-H) and Azure Government; we’re working on training and onboarding CUI handlers starting next month.

Going the Extra Mile

TechnoMile is now live at PSI, streamlining how we manage our Business Development and Contracts. But succesful implementation doesn’t happen on its own. Meet Rebekah Chong and Carrie Donat— two key PSIers who helped bring this system to life. Read on to hear their insights and experiences.

Rebekah Chong

Director, Health Growth Operations

Meet Rebekah Chong, a key member of the TechnoMile Implementation Team—we asked her a few interview questions to learn more about her role in making it all happen.

1. What was the biggest motivator for bringing TechnoMile into PSI’s growth and contracts ecosystem? Data, data, data! Our old system had limited user engagement, and manually inputted data led to frequent errors. With TechnoMile, we can efficiently and accurately add more data, enabling us to review the past year and plan for the future.

2. Can you describe your role in the implementation and how it’s evolved since the project began? At the outset, I collaborated with Carrie and the IT team to discuss various use cases, which helped us determine the essential features for the TechnoMile Suite. Initially, I assisted in training users, addressing their questions, collecting feedback, and exploring ways to enhance the user experience for better engagement. Now that several months have passed, users have adapted to the tool and are utilizing it effectively. It has proven to be extremely beneficial for reporting and meetings.

3. What’s been the most surprising (or exciting!) capability of TechnoMile so far?

The most exciting feature of TechnoMile has been its ability to run reports, present data, and export it seamlessly. Previously, I had to manually copy and paste information into presentation decks for meetings and pull information for requests. Now, everything is readily accessible. We can generate various reports to meet different needs, such as pipeline reports for Growth, financial forecasting for Finance, and upcoming due dates for the proposal team.

4. We all know change can be hard—what were some of the initial concerns from users, and how did your team help ease the transition?

Our primary concern was user adoption, given that TechnoMile was a significant departure from our previous system and required more detailed data input with consistent procedures across our company’s value segments. To address this, we provided a comprehensive range of training tools. These included virtual training sessions, step-by-step videos, user manuals, and availability for calls and questions. Additionally, considering the distinct nature of work across our three value segments, we collaborated with the growth group to standardize the data input process for reporting, ensuring it met everyone’s needs.

5. How does TechnoMile support smarter decision-making or greater transparency for PSI teams?

With the enhanced accuracy of our reporting, we now have a real-time “snapshot” of our pipeline. This improvement enables our entire team to make more informed decisions regarding current and upcoming opportunities.

6. With AI now embedded into the tool, how are we approaching ethical use and accuracy of the data it provides?

My motto is “Trust but verify.” While AI has been instrumental in exporting data from online sources and matching it to our company’s capabilities, it’s crucial to ensure the accuracy of all information by thoroughly reviewing it.

7. What advice would you give to someone leading a similar system rollout inside a fast-moving company like PSI?

Gather as much feedback from the user base as possible before rollout. Although we tried to anticipate needs, many changes occurred post-launch, which was expected. Stay flexible as users discover what works best for them. Additionally, build a good rapport with customer service, as you will be in frequent contact with them.

8. What’s coming next in Phase 2 or future enhancements of TechnoMile at PSI?

N/A- I was not involved in this aspect. But I know the Contracts Suite is actively being worked on.

9. What’s been the most rewarding part of this project for you personally?

Accessing all of our information in real-time has been incredibly valuable for me, allowing efficient work completion in less time. Given my constantly shifting priorities, the ability to quickly obtain real-time data has been instrumental in staying organized. Additionally, it has enabled me to provide accurate information to our partners and supporting departments with ease, proving to be a significant advantage.

10. If you had to sum up the impact of TechnoMile in just three words, what would they be—and why?

Efficiency- No more are the days of manually copying and pasting data. We can now present dashboards with real time data, export reports, and generate frequently used templates at the click of a button.

Consistency- With the standardized fields in TechnoMile, all value segments are reporting on the same data which is streamlining our pipeline reporting

Collaboration- You can easily search opportunities, leave “chatter” notes and tag other users, as well as send updates to users when their opportunities are updated all through the TechnoMile tool, making it a one-stop shop for collaboration across the organization.

Carrie Donat

Director, Alliance Development

Meet Carrie Donat, an integral part of the TechnoMile Implementation Team— we sat down with her to answer a few questions about her journey and contributions.

1. What was the biggest motivator for bringing TechnoMile into PSI’s growth and contracts ecosystem?

One of the biggest motivators for bringing TechnoMile into PSI’s growth and contracts ecosystem was the need to eliminate inefficiencies caused by fragmented and duplicative processes. Across the organization, teams were relying heavily on manual data entry—often using disconnected Excel spreadsheets and presentation materials— which led to inconsistent information and wasted effort. Collaboration was also a challenge, as it wasn’t always clear who owned specific data or tasks. We needed a centralized, intelligent platform to streamline operations, improve data integrity, and foster better cross-functional coordination.

2. Can you describe your role in the implementation and how it’s evolved since the project began?

As the lead for our TechnoMile implementation, I’ve been guiding a diverse team through the rollout of both the Growth and Contracts Suites. Initially, my role centered on bridging the gap between our legacy Dynamics CRM— Emerge—and the new Salesforce-based platform. As the former product owner of Emerge, I understood the workflows our teams were used to, which helped me support them through the mental shift required to adopt a new system.

The Growth team adapted quickly and is now operating with a high degree of independence. We’re at a point where we can begin refining those processes even further to maximize efficiency and value. My role has evolved into overseeing the full system integration—ensuring seamless data flow, system compatibility, and operational continuity.

Most recently, we introduced our CLM production environment to the PSI contracts team. The next phase will focus on learning, adoption, and continuous improvement as we embed these new processes into daily operations.

3. What’s been the most surprising (or exciting!) capability of TechnoMile so far?

One of the most exciting capabilities we’ve seen from TechnoMile so far is how quickly the Growth team was able to realize value through centralized reporting and automated presentation materials. The platform has significantly expanded our ability to share insights with leadership—executives now have on-demand access to the data they need to make informed, strategic decisions.

We’re also in the process of rolling out the Contracts Module, which includes AI-enabled contract ingestion. This is a game-changer in reducing the manual burden of data entry and improving data accuracy.

On the Growth side, AI has transformed how we manage task order notices. The system automatically ingests notices from many of our awarded IDIQs and provides centralized search capabilities across procurement sites like SAM.gov and GovWin. Even better, automated updates help us track government changes in real time—right where our internal data lives. It’s a huge step forward in efficiency and responsiveness.

4. We all know change can be hard—what were some of the initial concerns from users, and how did your team help ease the transition?

Change is never easy, especially when teams are already stretched thin and relying on familiar, if inefficient, processes. One of the biggest initial concerns we heard was, ‘I don’t have time for this,’ or ‘I’m used to the old system, this is going to be more work.’ That hesitation is completely understandable.

What we found, though, is that the upfront investment of time in learning the new system opens the door to solutions and efficiencies we hadn’t considered before. By encouraging active and consistent collaboration among users, we helped build a sense of ownership and confidence in the new tools.

We also learned that breaking the implementation into manageable phases—focusing first on the basics and building brick by brick—was key to reducing overwhelm. There’s still so much potential in the Salesforce platform that we haven’t even tapped into yet.

One of the biggest lessons in change management is that executive support is critical, but so is empathy. Trainers and change leaders need to truly understand the day-to-day challenges users face in order to tailor their approach effectively. When users feel heard and supported, adoption follows.

5. How does TechnoMile support smarter decision-making or greater transparency for PSI teams?

TechnoMile has become PSI’s centralized system of record, giving teams real-time access to critical data and reporting. This has significantly improved our ability to identify and resolve discrepancies quickly, which used to take much longer when information was scattered across spreadsheets and presentations.

One of the biggest ‘aha!’ moments has been for our executive team—leaders no longer have to wait for someone to compile reports. They can now access the information they need, when they need it, to support strategic conversations or dive into areas of individual interest.

As we continue to expand adoption, we expect to see even greater cross-functional collaboration between Growth and Operations, driven by shared visibility and smarter, data-informed decision-making.

6. With AI now embedded into the tool, how are we approaching ethical use and accuracy of the data it provides? With AI now embedded into TechnoMile’s platform—particularly through tools like TransForm CoPilot in the Contracts Lifecycle Management (CLM) module—we’re seeing real gains in efficiency and accuracy. What’s especially important is that TechnoMile’s AI does not use public model training, meaning customer data is never used to train the models. This approa`ch helps prevent data leakage and ensures that proprietary information remains secure and confidential. That said, while AI can significantly reduce the administrative burden and

enhance compliance and accuracy, it’s not a replacement for human judgment. We’re very intentional about maintaining a balance—leveraging AI to accelerate our work, but always applying human oversight to validate outputs.

Our approach is to explore the possibilities, ask critical questions, and double-check the results. Ethical AI use means being transparent about its role, understanding its limitations, and ensuring that people remain at the center of decision-making.

7. What advice would you give to someone leading a similar system rollout inside a fast-moving company like PSI?

My biggest piece of advice for anyone leading a system rollout in a fast-paced environment like PSI is: prioritize clarity, patience, and phased progress. It’s easy to feel pressure to move quickly, but real adoption happens when people understand why the change matters and feel supported every step of the way.

Build momentum by startivng with small wins—get teams comfortable with the basics before layering on complexity. And don’t underestimate the power of consistent communication and active listening. People need to feel heard, especially when they’re being asked to change how they work.

If I could do one thing differently, I’d spend even more time upfront aligning with stakeholders on expectations and success metrics. That alignment helps reduce friction later and keeps everyone focused on the same goals.

Software implementations aren’t just about technology; they’re about transforming how people work, think, and collaborate. Patience is key.

8. What’s coming next in Phase 2 or future enhancements of TechnoMile at PSI?

Yes, there is more magic on the way! As we move into Phase 2 of our TechnoMile implementation, we are looking forward to rolling out NoticesIQ, an AI-powered solution that will transform how we manage task order notices. It’s part of the GovSearch suite and is designed to help organizations like PSI that manage multiple contract vehicles and task order opportunities.

NoticesIQ uses agentic AI to:

o Ingest task order notices from various sources, including email and portals like eBuy.

o Analyze and prioritize notices based on our past performance and capabilities.

o Summarize opportunity details to help teams quickly assess and qualify leads.

o Convert notices into actionable leads—called “Sparks”—in our Growth CRM with a single click.

Some standout features include:

o Broad ingestion capabilities across portals and email.

o AI-powered relevancy scoring to surface the most strategic opportunities.

o CUI-compliant storage in a FedRAMP Authorized environment.

o No additional CRM licenses required, making it accessible to more team members.

This next phase will further reduce manual effort, improve opportunity tracking, and enhance collaboration across teams.

9. What’s been the most rewarding part of this project for you personally?

For me, the most rewarding part of this project has been witnessing that ‘aha!’ moment—when someone realizes how a specific automation or feature will genuinely lighten their workload. That spark of relief and excitement makes all the behind-the-scenes effort, every configuration, every support session, completely worth it.

This work matters to me because it’s not just about implementing software; it’s about empowering people. When we remove friction from their day-to-day tasks, we give them back time and energy to focus on what really matters. That’s incredibly fulfilling.

That said, while AI can significantly reduce the administrative burden and enhance compliance and accuracy, it’s not a replacement for human judgment.

10. If you had to sum up the impact of TechnoMile in just three words, what would they be—and why?

Empowering – because TechnoMile gives our teams the tools and insights they need to work smarter and more confidently.

Streamlining – because it replaces manual, fragmented processes with automation and centralized data, saving time and reducing errors.

Transformative – because it’s not just a system upgrade—it’s a shift in how we collaborate, make decisions, and deliver value across the organization.

KEVEN’S KITCHEN

Creamy Corn Pasta with Basil

INGREDIENTS

- Fine sea salt

- 12 ounces dry orecchiette or farfalle pasta

- 1 tablespoon olive oil, plus more for drizzling

- 1 bunch scallions (about 8), trimmed and thinly sliced (keep the whites and greens separate)

- 2 large ears corn, shucked and kernels removed (2 cups kernels)

- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, more for serving

- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, more to taste

- 1/3 cup torn basil or mint, more for garnish

- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste

- Fresh lemon juice, as needed

DIRECTIONS

Bring a large pot of well-salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until 1 minute shy of al dente, according to the package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.

Meanwhile, heat oil in large sauté pan over medium heat; add scallion whites and a pinch of salt and cook until soft, 3 minutes. Add 1/4 cup water and all but 1/4 cup corn; simmer until corn is heated through and almost tender, 3 to 5 minutes. Add 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper, transfer to a blender, and purée mixture until smooth, adding a little extra water if needed to get a thick but pourable texture.

Heat the same skillet over high heat. Add butter and let melt. Add reserved 1/4 cup corn and cook until tender, 1 to 2 minutes. (It’s O.K. if the butter browns; that deepens the flavor.) Add the corn purée and cook for 30 seconds to heat and combine the flavors.

Reduce heat to medium. Add pasta and half the reserved pasta cooking water, tossing to coat. Cook for 1 minute, then add a little more of the pasta cooking water if the mixture seems too thick. Stir in 1/4 cup of the scallion greens, the Parmesan, the herbs, the red pepper flakes, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Sprinkle with fresh lemon juice to taste. Transfer to warm pasta bowls and garnish with more scallions, herbs, a drizzle of olive oil and black pepper.
