Anna Fabrizio Anna Fabrizio, 89, of P l a i nv i l l e, died on April 3, 2010. She is now reunited after 45 years with her beloved husband, Giuseppe Fabrizio.

Edward Mercure Edward R. Mercure, 53, of Wa t e r f o r d , formerly a long-time resident of Harwinton a n d P l a i nv i l l e, died unexpectedly from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on April 5, 2010. He was born Nov. 5, 1956, in New Britain, the beloved son of Joseph “Bob” and Jane (Fayle) Mercure. A graduate of St. Paul Catholic High School and Tunxis Community College, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne, Ft. Bragg, N.C. He was a dedicated police officer beginning his career in Avon and retiring from the West Hartford Police Department. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Dedicated to health and fitness, he was most recently employed by the YMCA as a personal trainer. He was passionate about Harley David-

son motorcycles, participating in many Rolling Thunder Rallies in Washington, D.C. He enjoyed the Boston Red Sox, Army Football, and extreme roller coasters. He was a quiet and caring man who always put his family first and above all else loved his two boys, Matt and Kevin. He will be truly missed by all those who knew him. He is survived by his two sons, Matthew and Kevin Mercure, and their mother, Jeanette Francini; his sisters, Sharon Washburn and her husband, Glenn, Maureen Mercure, Colleen Brochu and her husband, Mark, Gail Colossale and her husband, Michael; his nephews and nieces, Ben and Josh Bachman, Erin and Taegan Brochu, Gracie, Sam, Harrison and Mason Colossale; and his close friend, Christine Mastrianni. The funeral was held on April 10, 2010, at Bailey Funeral Home, Plainville, followed by a Mass at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Plainville. Chad Sirois
She was born Jan. 6, 1921, in Italy, and resided in Plainville for the past 60 years. She spent most of her working years in the manufacturing industry, at the Rayex Corporation for more than 30 years, and retired from Peck Spring in 1983. A devout Catholic, she was a woman of strong faith and spirituality, and was a longtime member and volunteer at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Plainville. Proud of her Italian heritage, she could be found most days in the kitchen, cooking some of her many specialties to share with family and friends, serving her famous meatballs for breakfast, or working in her garden. She will be remembered most for her kindheartedness and love for her family, whose greatest joy was being surrounded by her grandchildren, having a great influence on them throughout their lives, and leaving them all with wonderful memories. She leaves her devoted son and daughter-in-law, John and Gloria Fabrizio, of Plainville; her grandsons and their wives, John and Shaina Fabrizio and Michael and Erika Fabrizio, all of Bristol; and her beloved great-granddaughter, Elianna; her stepchildren, Mario Fabrizio, of Bristol, Jean Herko, of Bristol and Rose D’Angelo, of Plainville; several step-grandchildren; her brother, John Fabrizi; and her extended family residing in Italy. The funeral was held April 9, 2010, at Bailey Funeral Home, Plainville, followed by a Mass at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Plainville. Committal services followed at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial

Regina (Lubomski) Witkowski, 64, of Newington, died March 26, 2010, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. She was born in Poland and was the daughter of Helena (Pultorak) Lubomski and the late Boguslaw Lubomski. She had lived in New Britain for many years, most recently in Newington. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and retired from Stanley Tools Company after 40 years of service. She was a loving mother and grandmother, loved going to the beach, being with her family and friends. She especially loved her family and spending time with them, and family gatherings. Besides her mother, Helena, she is survived by her devoted daughter, Regina Liistro and her husband, Frank, of Simsbury; her son, Thomas Witkowski, of Newington; and her beloved granddaughters, who where her pride and joy, Ashley and Angela; her two brothers and a sister with their spouses, Richard and Agnes Lubomski, of Plainville, Larry and Sue Lubomski, of Farmington, Sophie and Stanley Golas, of Farmington; her loving companion, Walter Stachelek; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral was held March 29, 2010, at New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, New Britain, followed by the Mass at Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

He was known for being a handyman, always building or repairing things, such as motorcycles and cars along with working on all of his friends’ cars. He adored his Chevy S10 and his motorcycle. Recently, he joined a bowling league in Bristol. He was loved by all his family and friends, and his passion for life will never be forgotten. Along with his beloved parents, Camille and Deborah Sirois, of Plainville, he leaves his loving sister, Ashley Sirois, of Bristol; his paternal grandmother, Cecille Sirois, of Maine; his maternal grandparents, Romauld and Irma Plourde, of Maine; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Leonide Sirois. The funeral was held on April 7, 2010, at Bailey Funeral Home, Plainville. A celebration of his life was held on April 8, 2010, at Bethel Christian Church, Bristol. Burial was at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to Bethel Christian Church Missions, 750 Stevens St., Bristol, CT 06010.
