Beyond flawless skin and unique interpretation, Priyanka enjoys a reputation for an open mind, flexibility and results-driven work ethic.. Here She is Giving you four beauty tips you must not follow. We are surrounded by information; from the right way to apply mascara to the list of suitable products for your skin type, every piece of information is just a click away. No matter how tempted you get to try each and every beauty tip, there are plenty of them which do more harm than good. Be on top of your beauty game by avoiding these four beauty tips. 1. Skipping Moisturiser if You Have Oily Skin It’s a misconception that you don’t need to moisturise if you have oily skin. The truth is if you skip moisturiser, your skin produces more sebum to compensate for the lack of hydration. This results in oilier skin and breakout. Instead, invest in an emollient that is light on the skin and is hydrating. You can also opt for a hydrat-

ing

serum or toner if in case moisturiser feels a bit too much on your skin. 2. Skipping Sunscreen If Your Makeup Has SPF While using makeup products with SPF is a

good start, be aware that these don’t provide complete protection. Also, the amount of foundation (with SPF) that you apply every day may not equate with the sunscreen you

need. Applying sunscreen with SPF 30 or above is non-negotiable. Products other than a sunscreen with SPF can add on to the protection but a proper sunscreen is needed to seal the deal. 3. Double Shampooing Your Hair Do not follow this beauty tip blindly because it depends on your hair type to know if you need double-shampooing. If your hair type is thick or curly and you have greasy roots and dry ends, go for double shampooing to avoid product build-up. However, if you have finer, thinner hair, doubleshampooing can make it dry and damage it. In that case, choose for a gentle cleanser. The idea is to first check the hair type! 4. Using Bronzer to Contour As far as makeup hacks are concerned, there’s no blueprint to follow. These tips may or may not work for everyone. When it comes to contouring with bronzer, the hack isn’t entirely wrong. It can work if you check the product finish. If the bronzer is matte-finish, without shimmer and not significantly dark than your skin, it can work as a contour palette. However, it’s always recommended to stick to a darker foundation or a proper contour palette to achieve a smooth finish.

In fact, a Full Moon on February 9 lands in your 5th House of True Love, helping you receive emotional fulfillment in matters of the heart. So if you're single, it looks like someone is coming your way. If you're already dating someone, then expect a declaration of love and plenty of displays of affection. Career-wise, you'll have an amazing edge from February 16 - March 30 as your ruling planet, Mars, reaches the top of your chart. You might decide to launch a new business or set your sights on brand-new career goals. Mercury will be retrograde from February 16 through March 9, though, so there will need to be some adjustments to your plans. That's OK. Keep it moving. Taurus: April 20 - May 20When did your social life become such a confusing mess, Taurus? This month you'll need to address what's happening in your friend network and you'll also need to make some decisions about who you're keeping in your circle. Mercury will retrograde through your 11th House of Groups and Connections from February 16 through March 9 and, during this time, you might seriously consider leaving an organization you're a part of.You might also have some confusing conversations with pals or even reconnect with an old friend. Fortunately, a New Moon in the same area of your chart on February 23 suggests a bright, fresh start with a friend or someone new entering your life who becomes an inspired confidante. It does look like you'll need to clear the deck first, though, and become much clearer about friends and their role in your life. In other news, your love life becomes a much more private affair this month. Venus enters your 12th House of Secrets and Magic on February 7 and remains shrouded here through March 4. You might spend more time focused on your romantic fantasies, but it's just as likely that a dream is about to come true in your love life. Gemini May 21 - June 20Things might get a bit fuzzy on the career front this month, despite a glorious opportunity that is likely to come your way. On February, 16 Mercury turns retrograde at the top of your chart and remains out of phase through March 9. It looks like you're in for a revision cycle when it comes to your professional goals and how you have been going about achieving them. Fortunately, all this confusion will lead to a new path (or a new way to go about your current one) at the New Moon on February 23. The temporary step back you take will all be worth it in the end. When it comes to love, it's quite possible that you'll meet someone in a group setting who makes his or her attraction for you instantly known. With Venus in your 11th House of Friends and Social Networking from February 7 - March 4, you will not feel lonely or out of options, that is for sure! Cancer June 21 - July 22Career and finances look promising this February, Cancer. Venus will be at the top of your chart from February 7 - March 4 and a Full Moon lands in your earned income sector on February 9. This all spells money, validation, and personal fulfillment in your profession along with truly feeling appreciated by your boss or another VIP. It doesn't get much better than that!If you're involved in any legal matter, there might be a delay or some confusion regarding facts and paperwork. Make sure you read over legal agreements extra carefully from February 16 - March 9 while Mercury is retrograde.Anew start with an educational pursuit is likely after February 23, so try not to stress out over feeling confused about your choices. Your ambition becomes more focused on love and relationships from February 16 - March 30 as Mars moves through your partnership sector. Fighting with your partner just for argument's sake is possible, but you'll certainly be motivated to fight for your connection as well. It's worth it! Leo July 23 -Aug. 22Financial headaches are possible in February, but it's not so much about a lack of funds than a sense of confusion around how to juggle them. While Mercury is retrograde from February 16 - March 9, you might experience a hiccup with paperwork connected to an investment, loan, or mortgage. Paperwork might get lost or there could be a temporary delay.Another possibility is that you simply can't make up your mind about how to pay for a significant expense. Do you take money out of the bank, your retirement plan, or an investment account? Or, do you get a loan instead of using your own money? The answer will come to you after the New Moon on February 23. Be patient. Emotional needs are out in the open thanks to a brilliant Full Moon in your sign on February 9. You're wearing your heart on your sleeve during this time and it's possible that you'll finally express your emotions for someone without holding back. Your faith in love appears to be restored in February. Beautiful! Virgo Aug. 23 - Sept. 22Your love life is either about to become totally hot ... or a totally hot mess. On the one hand, if you're single and haven't had much action in the romance department, all of that is about to change. On February 16, Mars rushes into the area of your chart connected to pleasure and love. The ambition you'll have to pursue your carnal desires will be insane. Fortunately, you won't have a shortage of opportunity to get your needs met. Now, if you're in a committed relationship, it looks like some work must be done. Mercury will retrograde from February 16 - March 9 in your partnership sector, and an inability to reach agreements with your mate could be frustrating. If you keep working together, however, a New Moon on February 23 signals a turning point. The connection can be reborn even stronger than before. In other news, you should be very happy when it comes to money matters. Venus tours your 8th House of Shared Resources from February 7 - March 4 and a financial boost is possible through the benefit of someone else. Libra Sept. 23 - Oct. 22Your love life will feel like a blessing this month thanks to Venus moving through your partnership sector between February 7 and March 4. If you're in a relationship, then you and your mate are likely to enjoy a beautiful stretch of harmony and loving vibes. If you're dating someone, then you might become more committed to each other during this time. Sweet! When it comes to your work life or health matters, however, there might be a feeling of taking two steps back before you move forward. Starting February 16, Mercury will be retrograde in the area of your chart ruling these matters. You might have to revise an assignment or deal with a miscommunication between you and a coworker. Re-evaluate your health during this time as well -- you might need to take a second look at an old issue. Fortunately, you'll have a bright, new start at the New Moon on February 23. Sometimes you really do have to go backward in order to move forward. Scorpio Oct. 23 - Nov. 21There might be a blast from your past this month when it comes to your romantic history. Whether or not you choose to rekindle things with this person is up to you, but between February 16 and March 9 while Mercury is retrograde, you're certainly going to give it some thought. Sometimes the past is meant to be in the past and your ex is your ex for a reason. In certain cases, however, second chances are warranted. It's not cut and dry, so you'll want to take your time before you make a decision if this is on the table for you. You might also be wondering whether or not to remain in a current dating relationship.Again, take a "wait and see" approach if possible. You'll have clarity after the New Moon happening in your true love sector on February 23. In other news, you might experience amazing professional fulfillment near the Full Moon on February 9. Expect to receive some type of spotlight attention and, although it might make you uncomfortable (you do cherish your privacy), at the same time, this is a reward that is well deserved. Allow yourself to bask in the glory.

Maha Shivratri ‘’The great night of Shiva” Maha Shivratri, which literally translates to “great night of Shiva” is a Hindu festival largely celebrated in India as well as in Nepal. Maha Shivaratri is mentioned in several Puranas, particularly the Skanda Purana, Linga Purana and Padma Purana. These medieval era Shaiva texts present different versions associated with this festival, & mention fasting, reverence for icons of Shiva such as the Lingam. Different legends describe the significance of Maha Shivaratri. According to one legend in the Shaivism tradition, this is the night when Shiva performs the heavenly dance of creation, preservation and destruction. The festival is celebrated on the new moon day in the month of Maagha according to the Hindu calendar. The day is celebrated to venerate Lord Shiva, an important deity in Hindu culture. In the daily hustle and bustle of life, we forget our source of energy which is running us. Mahashivratri is a festival to remember the basis of our existence: Shiva. There are many mythological legends associated with this day. According to a popular legend, when a hunter could not find anything to kill for his food in a forest, he waited on the branch of a Woodapple tree. In order to attract deer, he started throwing the leaves of the tree on the ground, unaware that there was a Shiva Lingam beneath the tree. Pleased with the Woodapple leaves and the patience of the hunter, it is believed that Lord Shiva appeared in front of the hunter and blessed him with wisdom. From that day onwards, the hunter stopped eating meat. Another legend has it that after the Earth was faced with an imminent destruction, Goddess Parvati pledged with Lord Shiva to save the world. Pleased with her prayers, Lord Shiva agreed to save the world on the pretext that the people of the Earth would have to worship him with dedication and passion. From that day onwards, the night came to be known as Maha Shivratri and people began worshipping Shiva with a great enthusiasm.

Some folklore also consider this to be Shiva’s day as this was believed to be the answer given by Lord Shiva when asked about his favorite day by Goddess Parvati. One is that Lord Shiva married Parvati on this day. So, it is a celebration of this sacred union. Another is that when the Gods and demons churned the ocean together to obtain ambrosia that lay in its depths, a pot of poison emerged. Lord Shiva consumed this poison, saving both the Gods and mankind. The poison lodged in the Lord’s throat, turning him blue. To honor the savior of the world, Shivratri is celebrated. One more legend is that as Goddess Ganga descended from heaven in full force, Lord Shiva caught her in his matted locks, and released her on to Earth as several streams. This prevented destruction on Earth. As a tribute to Him, the Shivalinga is bathed on this auspicious night. Also, it is believed that the formless God Sadashiv appeared in the form of a Lingodhbhav Moorthi at midnight. Hence, people stay awake all night, offering prayers to the God. Maha Shivratri is a Hindu festival which is celebrated by people following Hinduism in India. People often fast on the night of Shivratri and sing hymns and praises in the name of Lord Shiva. Hindu temples across the country are decorated with lights and colorful decorations and people offer night long prayers to Shiva Lingam. Woodapple leaves, cold water and milk are

offered to the Shiva Lingam on this day as they are believed to be Lord Shiva’s favorite. It is believed that the people who fast on this night and offer prayers to Lord Shiva bring good luck into their life. The most popular Maha Shivratri celebrations take place in Ujjain, believed to be the place of residence of Lord Shiva. Large processions are carried out throughout the city, with people thronging the streets to catch a glimpse of the revered idol of Lord Shiva. WHAT TO DO ON MAHASHIVRATRI? Mahashivratri is the day to honor and celebrate Lord Shiva. Most people spend the day of Mahashivratri in prayer, meditation and celebration. (1) Fasting Fasting detoxifies the body and curtails the restlessness of the mind. A mind that is not restless slips into meditation easily. Therefore, fasting on Mahashivratri serves to detoxify the body and aid meditation. It is recommended to fast with fruits or foods that are easily digestible. (2) Meditation The position of the constellations on the night of Mahashivratri is considered very auspicious for meditation. So, it is advisable for people to keep awake and meditate on Shivaratri. In ancient times, people used to say, ‘If you cannot meditate every day, do so for at least one day in a year – on Shivratri day – keep awake and do meditation’. Maha Shivaratri

is considered the day when adiyogi or the first guru awakened his consciousness at the material level of existence. According to Tantra, at this stage of consciousness, no objective experience takes place and the mind is transcended. The meditator transcends time, space and causation. It is regarded as the brightest night of the soul, when the yogi attains the state of Shoonya or Nirvana, the stage succeeding samadhi or illumination. (3) Chanting ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ is the perfect mantra to chant on Mahashivratri, as it immediately elevates your energy. ‘Om’, in the mantra, refers to the sound of the universe. It means peace and love. The five letters, ‘Na’, ‘Ma’, ‘Shi’, ‘Va’, ‘Ya’ in ‘Namah Shivaya’ indicate the five elements – Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether. Chanting ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ harmonizes the five elements of the universe. When there is peace, love and harmony in all the five elements, then there is bliss and joy. (4) Attending Mahashivratri Puja/Rudra Puja Rudra Puja or Mahashivratri Puja is a special ceremony performed to honor Lord Shiva. It involves singing special Vedic mantras accompanied by certain rituals. Rudra Puja brings positivity and purity to the environment, and transforms negative emotions. Participating in the Puja and listening to the chants helps the mind slip into meditation effortlessly. (5) Worshipping the Shivalinga The Shivalinga is a symbolic representation of the formless Shiva. Worshipping the Shivalinga includes offering ‘Bel Patra’ to it. Offering ‘Bel Patra’ represents offering three aspects of your being – rajas (the aspect of you that is responsible for activity), tamas (the aspect of you that brings inertia) and sattva (the aspect of you that brings positivity, peace, and creativity). These three aspects affect your mind and actions. Surrendering the three to the Divine brings peace and freedom.

Sagittarius: Nov. 22 - Dec. 21Expenses might be a little higher than usual this month, but you certainly won't be deterred by them. Mars will move into your earned income sector on February 16 and remains here through March 30. Since Mars can aggravate what it touches, it is possible that you'll feel a bit of a financial pinch. If this does happen, however, you'll also have the most focused sense of disciplined ambition to plow ahead and make money. Your entrepreneurial spirit will be triggered now, so it'll be a great time to launch a new business or side hustle. When it comes to love, you are golden. Taapsee Pannu talks about patriarchy Taapsee Pannu, whose latest film “Thappad” closely examines the issue of domestic violence recently talked about patriarchy in our society. The actor plays the role of a woman who refuses to accept even one slap from her husband, said she is happy she is in a place where audiences can view change through her work. “I have understood the meaning of the word patriarchy in recent years… like if the father says you cannot go out, you don’t question that. Your mother may agree with you but she is just running the house, so it does not matter. You have to be in the house by 8 pm because guys can’t control themselves,” Taapsee said in an interview. The realisation that this is not okay comes after a lot of questioning, she said, adding that she understood how to make changes in her own life. “Small things about gender parity and pay parity… But you cannot change that by just shouting that ‘this is not right’. You have to ensure that people start to recognise that change through your work. Maybe the new generation will not see the

difference but the generation next to us will,” she said. “Thappad”, which releases on February 28, happened after she told director Anubhav Sinha during the making of “Mulk” that she would now like to work on a film dealing with the everyday problem of domestic violence. The film is set in an affluent Delhi family with Taapsee playing a housewife whose world comes crashing around her after her husband slaps her in a party. Taapsee said because Film stars in India are worshipped so they should sometimes use the power in the right direction. “People listen to you. They may agree or disagree with you, but they will listen to you. In this day and age, who has the time to even do that? If you have been given that kind of power, then you can use that power in the right direction sometimes,” she said. But with great power comes greater responsibility, the actor said. “When, in the beginning, I managed one or two issued-based films and saw

that people were listening and the movies had started a discussion, I realised ‘this is power, and one should use it in the right manner’ With five more films in the offing, Taapsee is busier than ever and said it has taken her a while to reach a place where she can do the films she wants to.

“I am not ready to leave a single of these films. I have worked really hard to achieve a level where people today are ready to wait for me. I am not ready to leave any of these films because I have waited for a long time to have these movies and say they are mine,” she said. Unlike other stars in the film industry, Taapsee is someone who does not hide her opinions. While that leads to controversies sometimes, it comes from a space of clarity, she explained. “I have a clear mind. I have rarely had grey areas in my life where you are confused about what you want to do. I don’t know where it comes from but this has really helped me in the long run.“This is why when I have to criticise something, I don’t do it for the wrong reason. I don’t target people. So I don’t get that kind of backlash. You can take a dig at me but I will never answer that and that’s my ‘cheap thrill’. Life is really small and I have to do a lot so I will not spend my time or energy on you.” “Thappad” also features Pavail Gulati, Ratna Pathak Shah, Kumud Mishra, Tanvi Azmi and Dia Mirza in key roles.

Kareena even called Aamir a ‘genius.’ Talking about the film, she mentioned that it’s a different sort of role and Aamir is fantastic in the film. After the first look of Aamir was released as a Sikh, fans went crazy and looked forward to the Christmas 2020 release.Talking about it, Kareena

said, “I think it will be fantastic. It’s gonna be, if I may say so and I hope he doesn’t kill me, Aamir’s best work and mine. It’s just such a different part and it’s just amazing. I think he is a genius. The way he does it and no one else could do this. It is such a great film itself and to remake that and

the way they have adapted it, there is still a long way to go. I think people are going to be proud.” Well, surely since the time the film was announced on Aamir’s birthday, fans have been intrigued to know how Mr. Perfectionist adapts the 1994 Tom Hanks starrer classic in the Indian scenario. Laal Singh Chaddha has been shot in several locations and recently,Aamir was snapped in New Delhi while sporting a clean-shaven look for the film. As per reports, Aamir will be seen sporting several looks and some of those were even leaked on social media. Directed by Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha stars Kareena opposite Aamir and will hit the screens on Christmas 2020.

On being asked about the same, Sara said that she had done her bit as an actor before the release of the film. “It’s just been a day. I don’t want to say anything too soon. ‘Namaste Trump’ Trumps visit India The 45th President of the United States Donald Trump’s visit to India and meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a much-awaited global diplomatic event in 2020. The meeting of the top two leaders of the oldest democracy and the largest democracy in the world got attention from across the globe. This was Donald Trump’s first state visit to India.President Trump’s flight time for his India trip was of about 36 hours, a steep trade-off for about the same amount of time in the country. But his diplomatic drop-in was as intense as it was brief, with his hosts providing expansive redcarpet treatment that the president used to celebrate the most politically favorable stretch of his presidency. “It was a fantastic two days,” Mr. Trump said at the start of a solo news conference in Delhi.President Trump arrived in India kicking off a whirlwind 36hour tour Monday with a megarally that drew about 100,000 people and a visit to India’s iconic Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal, built in the 17th century by an Indian emperor as a tomb for his

beloved wife, was buffed and scrubbed before Trump and the first lady took a private sunset tour. Trump, who was visiting the monument for the first time, told reporters that it was “incredible, truly incredible.”The two countries have faced stubborn tensions over trade even as they continue to deepen their security cooperation. At the rally, Trump touted a $3 billion defense deal with India. Arriving at the airport in the western city of Ahmedabad, Trump was greeted by Modi, whom he has described as a good friend. The two leaders appeared together at a rally in Houston last year. Two leaders traveled from the airport to an ashram on the

banks of the Sabarmati River where Mohandas Gandhi, India’s revered independence leader, lived for 13 years. The roads were lined with people, perhaps in the tens of thousands. (Previously, Trump had boasted at a rally in Colorado that 10 million people would greet him upon his arrival.) The Trumps toured Gandhi’s modest home, removing their shoes before entering as all visitors do. Trump also sat on the floor and tried spinning cotton on a charkha, a hand-cranked wheel that Gandhi promoted as a tool of self-reliance.The next stop was Motera Stadium, a new venue that is the largest cricket stadium in the world, with a seating

capacity of 110,000. The stadium was nearly full, and attendees waited hours in the blazing sun for Trump and Modi to arrive. Trump and Modi lavished praise on each other during the joint rally. Modi welcomed Trump to the world’s biggest democracy, while Trump spoke of the close ties between the two countries. Trump called Modi an “exceptional leader” who works “night and day for his country.”“America loves India, America respects India, and America will always be faithful and loyal friends to the Indian people,” Trump continued. By the time the rally concluded, more than half the attendees had left, weary of the long hours

under the sun. Trump, who travelled with his wife as well as his daughter Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, flew from Ahmedabad to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal. Upon landing, he was greeted by Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of India’s largest state, Uttar Pradesh.Donald Trump and Melania were seen enjoying the sunset at Taj. US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump wrote "The Taj Mahal inspires awe. A timeless testament to the rich and diverse beauty of Indian culture. Thank you India." In the visitors' book at the Taj Mahal. After their trip to Agra, Trumps arrived at Delhi and enjoyed their

dinner. In the morning Trumps were given a ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati bhavan along with guard of honour. Later Mr. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at his memorial at RajghatThe US President signed the visitor's book, writing, "The America(n) people stand strongly with a sovereign and wonderful India the vision of the great Mahatma Gandhi - This is a tremendous honor!"Mr Trump's signed message in the visitor's book at Mahatma Gandhi's Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad earlier stood out with no mention of India's freedom movement icon, instead thanking "my great friend

Prime Minister Modi" for a "wonderful visit". Melania Trump visited Sarvodaya Co-Education Senior Secondary School in south Delhi's Moti Bagh where she attended the flagship "Happiness Class". Ms Trump was welcomed with a tilak by students and teachers. Delegation-level talks were held between Trump and Modi at Hyderabad House, after which Prime Minister Modi hosted a lunch for the US president. In the evening, the US president met President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and after attending the banquet hosted by Kovind, President Trump departed from India.

Nirbhaya case: All 4 convicts to be hanged on Climate-sensitive snail named after Greta Thunberg. March 3, Delhi court issues fresh warrants Delhi court has issued fresh death warrants for March 3 at 6 am against the four death row convicts in the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case. Additional Session Judge Dharmender Rana issued fresh warrants against death row convicts — Mukesh Kumar Singh (32), Pawan Gupta (25), Vinay Kumar Sharma (26) and Akshay Kumar (31). This is the third time that death warrants have been issued against them. The two earlier ones could not be carried out as the convicts took it in turns to use every legal option available to them. The first date of execution, January 22, was postponed to February 1 by a January 17 court order. Then the trial court, on January 31, stayed, “till further orders” the execution of the four convicts as they had not

exhausted all their legal remedies. Third death warrant was issued after the Tihar jail authorities informed the trial court that three of the four convicts — Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta, Mukesh Singh and Akshay Singh — have exhausted all legal options and

none of them have any correspondence pending at the moment. That still leaves one convict who has not filed a curative petition or mercy plea to the President. But they have also exhausted the one week allowed

by the High Court to exercise all their legal option and will need to go to the top court to get an extension. “I hope this will be the final date for hanging,” said the mother of the woman, adding that she was “very happy” with the court’s decision. The woman’s parents, who have been carrying out a spirited fight for justice, had filed an appeal in the trial court for a fresh death warrant after the week allowed by the High Court allowed the convicts to explore all legal means came to an end. After incessant efforts by the convicts to delay the execution, the High Court had said they would get only a week to explore all “legal remedies” after which the family would be free to seek a fresh death warrant from the trial court.

In addition to Time magazine’s Person of the Year and a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize, teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg has received a new accolade from the scientific community. A team of researchers has decided to endow her with arguably the greatest honor of allby naming a snail after her. The ‘Craspedotropis gretathunbergae’is a new species of temperature-sensitive land snail discovered by Taxon expeditions in the forests of Borneo. “The newly described snail belongs to the so-called caenogastropods, a group of land snails known to be sensitive to drought, temperature extremes and forest degradation,” said snail expert Menno Schilthuizen, co-founder of Taxon.

Greta is apparently “delighted” to have the snail named after her, the team claims. “Naming this snail after Greta Thunberg is our way of acknowledging that her generation will be responsible for

fixing problems that they did not create,” said J.P. Lim, who found the first specimen of the species. It’s not the first tiny creature named after the climate crusader, Greta previously had a beetle named after her.
