Commercial Office/Retail: Working closely with the design team throughout preconstruction, PJ Dick’s self-perform group provides planning and pricing to support decision-making during the early project stages. We set schedules and deliver what we promise. Parking Garages: Beginning with the construction of a 4,000-vehicle parking garage for Port Columbus International Airport in the nineties, we have built all types of parking structures. Whether it’s pouring the foundation for tilt-up construction or pouring for castin-place concrete, we complete the project as planned. Entertainment & Hospitality Industry: From hotels to music halls, convention centers to hockey arenas, PJ Dick has set the foundation for project success. In 2018, the AGC recognized PJ Dick for having the top construction company safety program nationwide. In 2019 and 2020, the MBA recognized a PJ superintendent as the top construction safety advocate in Western Pennsylvania. We are a Goal Zero organization. Our safety goal for your project is based upon our corporate standard – no recordables, no lost workday, no injuries . . . ever. In addition to following our MY SAFETY program, we proactively developed a supplemental plan to prevent exposure of our workers to COVID-19. We will continue to adapt this plan as restrictions change. We are proactive, adaptable and care about keeping our customers’ sites safe.

Quality Construction quality can mean different things to different people. Sometimes it is the flatness of the concrete that is critical while in other instances it could be the smoothness, depending on the final use of the facility. PJ Dick takes the subjectivity out of it by utilizing a self-developed quality control plan that is based upon the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ program. We have checks and balances to ensure that every pour or placement is 100% correct so that the risk of rework is zero. Wherever possible, we employ technologies to verify quality. This can include remote, real-time pour monitoring to ensure curing rates are per spec and that nothing is abnormal. This can also include the use of our laser screeds to ensure that flatness and smoothness exceed expectations. Our clients understand that the strength of our quality culture sets us apart and that we will never settle for anything less than perfect.
