Architecture is a form of art that shows an architect’s creativity and imagination, producing beautiful and emotional works. It’s a physical manifestation of their inner world and curiosity. An architect is a visionary, always seeking new solutions and perspectives. The only limits are a lack of imagination and not being bold enough to push beyond physical boundaries, making the “impossible” no longer a fantasy.

Functionality enhances the experience and shows that the architect cares.

As part of a newly proposed urban plan by the graduate class of Judson University, Honu Ho’ola is a compassionate mixed-residential housing project designed to help rebuild the Lahaina community after the devastating fires of August 2023. Rooted in resilience and aloha, this proposal offers diverse housing options for young adults, families, and retired seniors, ensuring an inclusive, multi-generational living environment. With a focus on affordability and sustainability, Honu Ho’ola integrates local architectural traditions, renewable energy, and community-centered spaces to foster healing and renewal. More than just housing, it represents a fresh start for those affected, providing stability and a sense of home in the heart of Lahaina.
