Hello Everyone!
In Period 6, Operational highlights include a 95.14% average NSF audit score and community-focused activities like training sessions, charity support, and environmental recognition. The HR team reported a stable YTD turnover of 14%. Digital reach grew significantly through targeted campaigns. Strategic activations like Bollywood nights, hospitality discounts, and family brunches are set to boost P07 footfall and revenues.
In P06, PizzaExpress UAE reported a 2.4% turnover, bringing YTD turnover to 14%. Four Rashid Center students completed a 5-month training, and the brand was recognized for its support at their yearend ceremony. Community initiatives included a pasta masterclass and a certificate from EEG on World Environment Day. Operationally, cook-offs for Mac & Wings 2.0 and Summer LTO were conducted. Wine training was held at Al Reem, and the HR team visited Jumeirah for engagement. From Oman, Mr. Ani Mathew toured UAE outlets, while two team members began out-of-territory training. Eid holidays were observed on 5th and 6th June.



HR - JUNE
The P06 2025 HR Business Review highlights a continued focus on training, collaboration, and employee engagement. Turnover for the period was 2.4%, bringing the year-to-date turnover to 14%.
A key achievement was the successful completion of a 5-month work experience training program by four students from the Rashid Center for People of Determination, reflecting PizzaExpress’s commitment to inclusion and social responsibility.
International collaboration was strengthened with Mr. Ani Mathew from PizzaExpress Oman visiting the UAE for a two-day business show-around, while the Restaurant Manager and Pizzaiolo from Oman began a threeweek training stint in the UAE to enhance their operational skills.
Two major cook-offs were held: Mac & Wings 2.0 and the Summer Special LTO, involving Kitchen Heads and Restaurant Managers to prepare for upcoming menu launches on 17th and 30th June respectively. These events not only encouraged innovation but also team participation.
The Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha holidays were observed on 5th and 6th June, and HR visits continued with a stop at PizzaExpress Jumeirah to maintain employee engagement. A&E’s James Webber conducted an advanced wine training session on red and sparkling wines at Al Reem, further improving staff knowledge and service quality.

During P06 2025, PizzaExpress UAE made significant contributions toward community engagement and environmental sustainability. On World Environment Day, the brand was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation by the Emirates Environment Group (EEG) for its role as a support sponsor at the 28th Emirates Recycling Awards, reinforcing its commitment to environmental responsibility.
Strengthening its ongoing partnership with the Rashid Center for People of Determination, PizzaExpress hosted an engaging, hands-on pasta masterclass for senior students, offering them a practical culinary experience. The Rashid Center also held an end-of-year ceremony for its Youth Vocational Training Workshop, where PizzaExpress UAE was formally recognized for its continued support and involvement.
Additionally, PizzaExpress UAE was acknowledged by the UAE Restaurants Group (UAERG) for its contributions during the annual Food Service Forum, highlighting its active role within the industry and commitment to excellence. These recognitions emphasize PizzaExpress UAE's dedication to inclusion, community outreach, and sustainability, while also enhancing the brand's positive image within both the hospitality sector and the wider community.

Sales performance for 2025 (blue), 2024(orange), and budget (grey line) from P1 to P6.
In early 2025, sales started strong higher than both 2024 and the budget in P1. Sales dipped slightly in P2, then dropped sharply in P3. However, things improved in P4 and P5, with 2025 sales back above both 2024 and budget, though the gap narrowed in P5.
In P6, all three metrics – 2025, 2024, and budget – converged closely, showing consistent performance across years and expectations.
