Our mission is to advance the health and well-being of our region through comprehensive care in a Christian environment.
As President and CEO of Pikeville Medical Center (PMC), please know that I take this senior leadershiproleveryseriously.Iamproudtobring advanced medicine, technology, equipment and specialtyphysicianstotheregion.
Ourboardiscomprisedofseasonedleadersinthe hospitalandpillarsofourcommunity.Theyhavea true passion for healthcare and are committed to growingourhospitaltobetterservetheregion.
Our people deserve the best and we will always strive to give our region what they deserve. I believe by choosing PMC, your patients will receive outstanding care from providers who are committedtoexcellence.
As you know, we have experienced tremendous growth while adding new specialty physicians, opening a state-of-the-art cath lab and bringing specialty care to our outlying communities. PMC opened the Appalachian Valley Autism (AVA) Center in 2020 to assist families of children with autism in our region. We understood what a challenge this was to provide care to these patients and wanted this opportunity to be availableclosetohome.
The Heart and Vascular Institute of Eastern Kentuckyprovidestopcardiaccaretothepatients in our region. PMC is also proud to offer the Drs. R.V. and Jyothi Mettu Children’s Hospital, which has received much support from our region and beyond. I am optimistic as I look into our future and see amazing potential for growth. We will continue working to expand pediatric care as we diligentlyworktoaddtalentedproviders.
Pikeville Medical Center is investing millions to secure great locations as a convenience for our patients. We have been able to create additional patient care space on our main campus, which providesamuchsmootherflowforourcancerand sleeplabpatients.
The hospital is continuing to expand as our community’s needs continue to grow. Some of the largest concerns in our area are heart disease, cancer, diabetes and stroke. We continue to work diligently to expand medical servicessothesepatientscancontinuetoreceive quality care right at home. The opportunity to receive care locally saves patients money and travel time and allows them to get well close to homesurroundedbytheirfamilyandfriends.
The forecast for the future of PMC and the surrounding region is bright as new physicians move into the community to care for those who need them most. We are building a healthcare networklikethisregionhasneverseen.
We are doing everything possible to assure patients and physicians that PMC is bringing cutting-edgehealthcaretotheregion.Iamasking you to continue our efforts. As you put your patients first, please consider the advanced opportunitiesfoundrighthereathome.
Mydoorisalwaysopenbecauseyourconcernsare very important to the growth of the hospital and to the care we provide to our patients. Thank you forchoosingtoreferyourpatientstoourhospital. We continually strive to make sure they receive thequalitycaretheydeserve.

CARE COORDINATORS
Patient Care Coordinators Are Making a Difference at PMC
Pikeville Medical Center is proud to introduce one of our newest patient services – the role of Care Coordinator.
For patients who need additional assistance or have questions after an outpatient clinic, ED or Urgent Care visit, there is no longer a need to contact the hospital switchboard, clinic, lab or any other department. Instead, PMC offers a one-stop navigational assistance service to address any outstanding clinical, testing or other medical needs.
Patients who have signed up with MyChart and the complimentary texting service will receive a text within a day or two following their visit with a phone number which gives them the opportunity to text or call a PMC Care Coordinator directly. They will assist with questions about prescriptions, follow-up appointments, lab results, scheduling another appointment or getting results for an MRI, mammogram, CT scan or other diagnostic test. Our goal is to make sure our patients are taken care of. At PMC, we were founded on faith and remain focused on YOU.
Call or text our Care Coordinators
PMC is proud to introduce AblePay Health to our patients, which can assist them with their out-ofpocket medical expenses. AblePay is offered at no cost and allows patients to save up to 13% on deductibles, co-insurance and co-pays at Pikeville Medical Center.
