We appreciated the ability to walk miles of trails and sidewalks within our neighborhood and along the charming waterfront while enjoying convenient access to restaurants, shopping, and parks. As we emerge from the pandemic, we have the opportunity for City Council to work together on behalf or our citizens with compassion, respect, and integrity. It is critical we support our local businesses and waterfront parks so that our city can preserve its Maritime village character. We should ensure that growth is responsible and well planned with needed infrastructure. We can compassionately listen to what people support, such as The Village shopping center in North Gig Harbor, the exiting new sports complex, and access to the Harbor for paddlers, boaters, and fishermen. Gig Harbor deserves city leaders who are committed to building consensus and bringing people together so that things can get done. I would be honored to serve on the City Council and would serve with integrity and humility. I would appreciate your vote to keep Gig Harbor the place we all love to call home.
