On February 24, 2022 PICPA Rizal Chapter participated in the QuickBooks Simulation Connection Evaluation webinar which was conducted via zoom from 10:00 am to 12:00noon by the PICPA National Office. It was conducted to determine the solution on the connection issues/problems that are frequently encountered by the Chapters. There was also a demonstration in the installation, proper login and logout, how to back up and restore files to and from the National Office QuickBooks Server. Overall, there were 36 attendees. President Danniboy Cero and the Secretariat represented the PICPA Rizal Chapter.
The PICPA Rizal Chapter also participated in the PICPA National Office virtual meeting on the Philippine Qualifications Framework – Career Progression Specialization Program (PQF-CPSP) which was held on March 18, 2022 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Welcome remarks was delivered by Mr. Jose Ireneo, Executive Director of PICPA National Office. An extensive discussion was made to explain the needed design of the CPD programs such as webinars and seminars offered by the chapter, how to earn points in the GARCA Chapter Scorecard and submission of the instructional design of seminars and reports to the National Office using PQF. Mr. Alejandro Palacio discussed on how the chapter should catalog programs from various topics to a single topic and understanding the PQF-CPSP requirements. Six officers were present in the meeting which includes: President Danniboy Cero, President Elect Rosemarie Gatlabayan, VP for Professional Development Barbara Pinos, Secretay Melissa Constantino, Secretariat Kimberlyjoy Acosta and Secretariat Janna Celestino.

MECHANICS TO AVAIL OF ONE (1) FREE WEBINAR PASS
1. MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING. This special privilege is available to all PICPA MIGS for fiscal year 2021-2022, subject to the other conditions stipulated below.
2. SPONSORED WEBINARS. The “special pass” can only be used for webinars sponsored by the Professional Development Committee starting from March to May 2022. We have nine Professional Development webinars that will entitle the members to “special pass”. Please check our weekly campaign of PICPA webinars.

4. NON-TRANSFERABLE PRIVILEGE. The “special pass” is non-transferrable and can only be availed by the member himself/herself.
5. ONE-TIME USE ONLY. The “special pass” is for one (1) time use only. Subsequent event registration by the member in GlueUp using the same “special pass” will be invalidated, and therefore a member will not receive the Zoom invite to the event. Refer to item 3 for updated list of eligible members.
6. NON-CANCELLABLE EVENT REGISTRATION. The “special pass” is considered utilized upon registration to an event in GlueUp, regardless of whether the member actually attended or not the webinar.
7. BE COUNTED. Submit your proxy form to be represented in our Special Membership Meeting and learn and earn CPD units through our “special pass” webinars.
