Reports submitted to the National Office and submission of the chapter nominees for the May 16, 2022 election were reported by Assistant Secretary Dineth Larsen and she encouraged the members to submit a story if they have so it will be included in the official publication of the chapter’s newsletter and the update on the donated lot by Mr. Rolando Leyble. A webinar entitled Understanding PQF: Spotlight on Public Practice by Mr. Shane Dave Tanguin. He discussed the Accountancy Laws: RA10968, RA10912 and RA9298 which was consolidated by Philippine Qualifications Framework and the draft Career Progression & Specialization Program (CPSP) for the Accountancy Profession. Another webinar was conducted in the afternoon Taxability od Non-Stock Non-Profit Organizations was followed and conducted by Atty. Arnold Apdua. He discussed the instituions, ogranizations and corporations as expressly indicated in the law as Non Profit and Non Stock Corporations. The corresponding Revenue Memorandum Orders (RMO) in applying for a BIR ruling were also discussed. Ms. Rosemarie Gatlabayan, President Elect delivered the closing remarks and Ms. Dineth Larsen, Assistant Secretary and Assistant PRO as the master of ceremonies.

MONTHLY BOARD MEETINGS

The seventh monthly Board of Directors meeting for FY 2021‐2022 was held on January 30, 2022 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Nine officers were present and 3 Ex‐officios, Ms. Betty Esplana, Ms. Remigia Pantoja and Enrique Pinos. The President and department heads reported on their December 2021 and January 2022 performances and achievements. In preparation to the conclusion of the term of the current officers an update on the scorecard was presented and discussed to the board.

The Special Board of Directors Meeting was held on March 10, 2022 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm. Six officers were present during the meeting. The following agenda has been discussed: Finalizing the date and time of Quiz Bowl, Prizes (Trophies, medals and cash prizes) and budget, solicitation for prizes and operational expenses in the conduct of quiz bowl and opening of GCash account of the PICPA Rizal Chapter, finalization of the quiz bowl Programme, creation of committees and approval of the guidelines of the quiz bowl and creation of Tabulation Committee Mr. Zosimo Maglangit, Director for Education was assigned to handle the quiz bee event. The eight monthly Board of Directors meeting was held on February 27, 2022 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. President Danniboy Cero and each department head presented the accomplishments for the month and plans for March 2022.
