HVAC tech lab is the education and testing ground for the students to learn various HVAC mechanical equipment. Refrigerant lines are connected to the equipment and buried in the trench that leads to the outdoor part of the equipment. Trenches design with metal covers that are operable, allow for walking on, and lifting up. The lines end at the exterior wall that allows flexible connection needs.

Acoustic control is very important to the event space. To satisfy both functional and aesthetic, pushing for this diamond shape dropped ceiling panel proved a successful result and happy client.

Edgewood Center

The project is a renovation and expansion of 50 units in a three-story existing mixed-use. 183 is currently occupied by a one-story Subway, while 187 is occupied by three-story permanent housing for formerly homeless individuals with special medical conditions. The renovation and expansion will update the units with an independent code-compliant bathroom and a functional kitchenette. In addition, the wellness center, fitness center, and computer room were also included in the expansion to meet DCA requirements. Project Year: 2018 Project Location: Atlanta, Georgia Project Status: Under construction Phase contributed: Pre-Design, Schematic Design • Studied Historic District requirements • Prepared various special applications documents (UDC, SAP, HUD) • Programing • Exterior façade studies and design

Design Solution 1 - Air Right To upgrade current units to a larger footprint that includes their private bathroom and functional kitchenette, acquiring the original footprint is necessary. Restoration to the existing building form is a win-win option for both historic preservation and meeting clients’ needs.

Design Solution 2 - Rhythm Being in the Historic District (HC20C (MLK) - Sub Area 4), it is critical to consider both history and also the future. The façade tells the original design and material available during that particular period. It is essential to understand the history and incorporate it into the new design and satisfy the new program.

SKOOP 2018

This is a competition organized by BOUN to challenge and re-imagine street furniture. Our design reflects the possible solution to the mass construction waste. Gypsum board is the second-highest construction waste and our material choice for the furniture design because of its material strength and flexibility. The goal of the furniture is to provide module properties that allow various forms with a single module unit.

SKOOP MATERIAL ASSEMBLY

SKOOP AS URBAN FORM

The Skoop S is designed to be assembled into a variety of forms. These forms create playful and interactive user experiences. The skoop encourages urban moments of connection, play and exploration

Non-Architecture Competition is known for its drawing competitions. Amid the 2020 pandemic, Non- Architecture organized a series of “Pandemic Society” themed competitions. This project is particularly looking for an innovative solution for the new way of shopping groceries under pandemic restrictions. Restrictions generate creativity. At the end of 48 hours, a circular, one-way floor plan is my solution for the 48hour Floorplan Battle COVID -19 Super Market.

Circle of Life

Lighting and air circulation is the driving idea of the floor plan. The exterior row of columns spaced in a pattern that reflects how much light is going into the building. And the amount of light ties to the property of the food and other products. The folded circular shopping aisles are based on the logic of surface epithelium in our stomach; space-saving yet provides a large area to displace products and food.
