FEATURED RESIDENTS

Bill and Deddy 141 Oleander Drive

Bill and Deddy Wesely moved to Bermuda Village in January of 2011 from Salem, South Carolina. When asked why they chose Bermuda Village the Wesleys agreed it was “The best retirement community of all we looked at in the Southeast.” Bill was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up on Long Island in Baldwin. He served in the US Army from 1954-1956 at Ft. McClelland in Alabama. Bill attended college at Purdue University and majored in Chemical Engineering. He used his Bachelor of Science Degree in several positions, primarily in New Jersey. Before Bill retired, he worked for several raw material suppliers in the plastics industry, providing technical service management. Deddy Wesely was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Tenafly, New Jersey. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in French, from St. Lawrence University. Once married she dedicated herself to maintaining a home for the Wesely family. A boarding house friend, who was dating Deddy’s roommate at the time, introduced Bill to Deddy. Their first meeting was a blind date and Bill says it was “The best chance I ever took!” Bill and Deddy were married in Greenwich, Connecticut. They have two children. Daughter, Laura, is a nurse and accountant and mother of two teenage boys. Son, Doug, is a chef and owner of a catering business and father to one daughter. Bill enjoys playing bridge and golf. He is also a woodworker and reader. Deddy enjoys bridge and reading and stays active with fitness and gardening. We welcome the Weselys to their new home and look forward to getting to know them better.

CHILDREN OF EDEN

OKL AHOMA !

Saturday, April 9 Depart: 7:15pm (Winston-Salem)

Satur day, Apr il 30 Depar t: 7:15pm (Winston-Salem)

Children of Eden is a joyous and inspirational musical about parents, children, and faith… not to mention centuries of unresolved family business! Loosely based on the book of Genesis, Children of Eden is a frank, heartfelt, and often-humorous examination of the age-old conflict between parents and children. Adam, Eve, Noah, and the Father who created them must deal with the headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their respective children. The show delivers a bittersweet but inspiring message: “the hardest part of love…is letting go.”

Don’t miss UNCSA’s first all-school musical since West Side Story took the Stevens Center by storm in 2007. Oklahoma! features the timeless story of a handsome young cowboy vying for the attention of a beautiful, headstrong farm girl. Set in the early 1900’s and filled with humor, romance and drama, Oklahoma! changed musical theatre forever with its innovative integration of music and dance. UNCSA will present a faithful restaging of the original 1943 Broadway production, including the original Agnes de Mille choreography as well as many elements of the stage design.

Residents must purchase tickets in advance by calling 748-0857 ext. 203.

He used his Bachelor of Science Degree in several positions, primarily in NJ. Before Bill retired, he worked for several raw material suppliers in the plastics industry, providing technical service management. Deddy Wesely was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Tenafly, NJ.
