Happy Sabbath Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6

ASV)

President's Desk

Greetings P. M. Leaders, Elders, Officers and members. Trust that you and your families are well.

God wants to do great things for us during this season. This will require soul searching, heart preparation and “On the job training.” We cannot afford to be a hindrance to the gospel and our prospects. God Bless

Women’s Ministry Director visits the Berry Island Company on April 7th to 9th, 2023.

The Berry Island Company along with seven visitors met at the R N Gomez ComprehensiveSchool in the Berry Islands to worship in an intimate setting where the tables and chairs were arranged in the shape of the cross. The theme for this weekend was The Way of The Cross, We Will Go! Members and visitors shared in praise and worship, expanded on scripture texts related to the cross and personal testimonies. It was evident that the Holy Spirit presence was felt when Sis, DawnetteCampbell, leader of the Berry Islands Company gave her personal testimony of how good God is.

Sis. Karen Burrows, women’s ministry director for the North Bahamas Conference, charged the members and visitors to carry their cross daily as Paul did when he said, he died daily to self so that he may worship God and share Jesus at all cost. She also reminded them that the cross represents God’s Unconditional Love, His Forgiveness, Our Victory over Satan, and Our Allegiance to God.

Then on Sabbath morning the members and visitors assembled at the R N Gomez Comprehensive School for Sabbath School which was thoroughly discussed and very engaging.

The Sermon topic for Divine Service was Rescuing Our Mission, We Will Go. Berry Island Company and visiting friends wereencouraged to continue sharing Jesus which is their number one mission as they follow the cross daily. Everyone was reminded to avail himself or herself so God can equip him or herto be used for service. Immediately following the Divine Service, everyone was invited toshare in a scrumptious fellowship meal. The weekend activities concluded with a social where members and visiting friends played Bible Bingo and Dominoes. It was truly a blessing to worship with the Berry Islands Company. Indeed, the mission field is ripe, but the laborers are few. Let us keep the Berry Islands company in prayers that the financial means will be available for them to have a church building of their own and an evangelistic campaign.

The Gospel to the Poor—Christ came to preach the gospel to the poor. He reached the people where they were. He brought plain, simple truth to their comprehension. How simple His language! Even the poorest, the unlearned and ignorant, could understand Him. Not one needed go to a dictionary to obtain the meaning of the high-sounding titles or words that fell from the lips of the greatest Teacher the world ever knew. While the priests, the rulers, and the expounders of the law were considering themselves as the only teachers of the people, He told these learned rabbis that they were both ignorant of the Scriptures and of the power of God (The Review and Herald, July 19, 1887). 5BC 1119.16
