Happy Sabbath and welcome to the house of Prayer for all peoples. Welcome to our visiting friends, who are our special guests, and welcome to the faithful members. Thank you for choosing to worship with us today.

We welcome to our Conference this weekend Pastor Basil Sturrup, Dr. Roy Kellerman and Elder Brown from West Hartford, Connecticut, U..S.A. We appreciate their willingness to assist Grand Bahama on behalf of Bethesda Medical Mission. They made a courtesy call on the administrators of the Conference, the Government and the Port on yesterday.

The prayer focus of The Atlantic Caribbean Union (ATCU) for the week May 14-20: Lay Preachers Institutes; May 21-27: Child Preachers; May 28-June 03: Protection from Natural Disasters.

We remember the following in prayer: Bro Ernest Gibson, Sis Sally Smith, Sis Vanessa Clarke, Sis Sylvia Higgs.

The Sabbath School Lesson is always a blessing to study. May the lesson review be a blessing.

The leadership of the Conference and Grand Bahama Academy is asking every member to give $10 per month to GBA. Please mark the envelopes as GBA Special Fund.

The Sabbath School Lesson study #08 is “The Sabbath and the End.” Memory Text: “And to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ.”

Ephesians 3:9. Within the Decalogue the Sabbath commandment stands as its seal in that it identifies who God is — the Creator; confirms the territory over which He rules — everything He created; and reveals His right to rule — for He created everything. If you or someone that you know would like to be baptized, please inform your Pastor or one of the Elders as we plan for monthly baptisms. The next baptism date is May 27. For those who have not received a baptismal certificate, please contact your Church Clerk.

Congratulations to Sisters Patsy Rolle-Johnson on placing 3rd in the Senior Citizen Spelling Competition hosted by the Cat Island Association.

On Thursday May 11th.

There were approximately fourteen participants. It was a pleasure listening to all the participants spelling with confidence at their age. Additionally a word was thrown to the audience and Dr. Aniska spelt it correctly earning herself a prize. Congratulations to both mother and daughter.

Not one needed go to a dictionary to obtain the meaning of the high-sounding titles or words that fell from the lips of the greatest Teacher the world ever knew.
