THE EVANGEL North Bahamas Conference
21st January, 2023
"To make a difference in someone’s life, you don’t have to be brilliant, rich, beautiful or perfect. You just have to care.” "To wait patiently, to trust when everything looks dark, is the lesson that the leaders in God's work need to learn.
Heaven will not fail them in their day of adversity. Nothing is apparently more helpless, yet really more invincible, than the soul that feels its nothingness and relies wholly on God . . Prophets and Kings, pp. 174, 175. A warm and cordial welcome to our church family. We welcome you on behalf of Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Happy Sabbath and an enjoyable weekend. We commend our Conference Prayer Ministries Leader, Elder Lueann Thompson and her team from each of the churches for a job well done. From time to time the Lord will bring in different agencies, through whom His purpose can best be accomplished. Happy are they who are willing for self to be humbled, saying with John the Baptist, “He must increase, but I must decrease.”

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
As Jesus rested by faith in the Father’s care, so we are to rest in the care of our Savior. If the disciples had trusted in Him, they would have been kept in peace. Their fear in the time of danger revealed their unbelief. In their efforts to save themselves, they forgot Jesus; and it was only when, in despair of selfdependence, they turned to Him, that He could give them help. The Desire of Ages, p. 188
