THE EVANGEL North Bahamas Conference
14th January, 2023
One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.
Psalm 27:4
Welcome to everyone who worship our great God on this blessed Sabbath in 2023. Thank you for accepting the invitation of the Almighty to come into His presence with thanksgiving, and enter His courts with praise. A warm welcome to all guests and members. The theme for the Inter-American Division is “the Year of Conservation and Soul Winning.” The first baptism is scheduled for 28 January. Please contact the Pastor or any of the Elders.
The Annual 10 Days of Prayer is a global initiative of the World Church. This special program begins January 11-21. We will make this available to all members. The work of God is not to bear the image and superscription of man. From time to time the Lord will bring in different agencies, through whom His purpose can best be accomplished. Happy are they who are willing for self to be humbled, saying with John the Baptist, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” The Desire of Ages, p. 91

We project for reset, refocus, restart for this year. In your reset, please don’t neglect your prayer life, nor forsake your daily reading of God’s Word, and be a witness as you share your faith every day. Make your life count. We are embracing the original time for services, but we bring a new mindset to our worship experiences.
You are encouraged to read the Bible thru this year and be faithful to God. Return a faithful tithe and freewill offering and watch God bless you more than you can receive. Prayers are requested for Bro Billy Glinton; Elder Emitte & Dr Natasha Bootle; Sands family; Sis Etta Ewing; Sis Vanessa Clarke & family; Bro Joshua Hyppolite; Sis Cecelia Miller; Jessie & her family; Sis Iris Miller; Bro Leslie & Sis Tikoya Thompson; Sis Gwendolyn Palmer.
Blessings are extended to those celebrating birthday and wedding anniversaries. We cover our returning students overseas and at home. Remember that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
Pastor Eric D.ClarkeThought for The Week
All true obedience comes from the heart. It was heart work with Christ. And if we consent, He will so identify Himself with our thoughts and aims, so blend our hearts and minds into conformity to His will, that when obeying Him we shall be but carrying out our own impulses. The will, refined and sanctified, will find its highest delight in doing His service. When we know God as it is our privilege to know Him, our life will be a life of continual obedience. Through an appreciation of the character of Christ, through communion with God, sin will become hateful to us. Desire of Ages, p. 668
Pastor Eric D. ClarkeIf anyone in your local church have something they want their church to know, please feel free to write an article that may inspire the saints, send through your Communication Director.
