The President's Desk What a difference Sabbath brings to our lives, as we allow our Divine Shepherd to lead us to a refreshing place of restoration. Verse 2 of the compelling hymn - ‘Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah’, depicts the subsequent refreshment, healing, deliverance, strength and shield God provides, as we acquiesce to His leading: Pastor Clarke

“Open now the crystal fountain, Whence the healing stream doth flow; Let the fire and cloudy pillar Lead me all my journey through; Strong deliverer, strong deliverer, Be thou still my strength and shield; Be thou still my strength and shield.” What a powerful God! This Sabbath, I choose to leave behind the challenges and stress of the past week, to embrace the restoration our Great Jehovah provides. May our worship yield rich rewards, as our souls are renewed, under the transformative power of God

Pathfinder Camp 2022 was a Huge Success!!

PATHFINDER CAMP

From June 20 - 26th, 80 Pathfinders from Bimini, Abaco, and Grand Bahama made the grounds of the Grand Bahama Academy our home for Pathfinder camp, under the theme: Walking in God's promises. Our Camp Director was Sis Dericka Missick and she was assisted by Pastor Price, our Union Youth Director; Pastor Watson, our Conference Youth Director; and three camp counselors from Abaco: Sis Gelin, Sis Thompson and Sis Isidore. As soon as camp began, we were placed into units to help us build teamwork and leadership skills. Unit leaders made sure their members stuck together no matter what: from dish washing after a tasty meal, to walking in pairs at night if someone had to use the bathroom.

PATHFINDER CAMP

Here are some of our favorite highlights: Each day, the kitchen staff had something new and delicious to offer. The food was strictly vegetarian and was surprising to most of the campers, but slowly they grew to like it and ate the food without complaint. Hats off to Chef Bertha and her team. Going to the beach almost every day and having the dolphin experience were amazing!! We made new Christian friends. The Bible study with Pastor Price had everyone interacting and asking questions. We were amazed at how much God worked with him to enhance our knowledge of the truth. Even though it cost us sleep and limited our free time, we enjoyed learning our memory verses for line call every morning.

PATHFINDER CAMP

The mini Olympics was so much fun! We played games like tug of war, soccer, volleyball, track and field, and basketball.

PATHFINDER CAMP

By the end of camp, even though we were 10 shades darker in complexion, we had grown not only intellectually, but socially and spiritually. We were more aware of God's promises and excited to walk in them.
