The President's Desk The President’s Page 04 June 2022 This is the day that the Lord has made: we will rejoice and be glad in it. Happy Sabbath. A warm welcome to everyone. To our visiting friends, guest of honor, and to the members, Happy Sabbath. God bless you in worship today. Special prayers are requested as we face a weather system this weekend. God is faith and there is a blessing for all of us. An announcement for the Sabbath Services will be made this morning thru the church chats. It is more important to listen to what God is saying to you than spending most of your time listening to what God told someone else. Pastor Clarke

We have requested that special prayers for Grand Bahama today. We are asking each member, every family and each church to spend deliberate time today lifting up God’s school with a pure heart. They that are with us are more than they that are against us. A special thanks to all who continue to exercise faith in Grand Bahama Academy. God will see us through and we will come out as gold tried in the fire. Your positive encouragement is needed. “We should remember that the church, enfeebled and defective though it be, is the only object on earth on which Christ bestows His supreme regard. He is constantly watching it with solicitude, and is strengthening it by His Holy Spirit.” (Manuscript 155, 1902) Please pray for the persons who are on your sick lists and persons who are bereaved. God is in the healing business. He is more willing to hear than we are willing to ask. General Conference session begins officially tomorrow with registration in St. Louis, Missouri. The daily program can be view on the Adventist Church YouTube page. Daily productions of Adventist Review will be available on line. These will include information on everything that happens each day. Please pray for the leading of God’s Holy Spirit. You are encouraged to be faithful in all things. Lasting things are those that are done for Christ. Return a faithful tithe and freewill offering and watch God open heaven’s windows to bless you. You are encouraged to read the Bible through this year. You can complete the Bible by reading 3 chapters each day and 5 chapters on 1 day of the week, a total of 23 chapters each week.

Get Involved!”— reflects the Advent hope in a soon returning Savior, and the urgency of Total Member Involvement (TMI), everyone doing something for Jesus in winning souls for Him!

The two delegates that will represent the North Bahamas Conference of Seventhday Adventist are Pastor Eric Clarke the President and Elder Gentry Morris from the Abaco District of churches.

YOUTH MINISTRY

YOUTH MINISTRY

“I belong” was the chant on the lips of the over 120 children and 50 adults attending the Children and Adolescent Ministries Fun Day held at the Central Abaco Primary School on Sabbath, 28th May, 2022. It was a day for children from across Abaco to connect with Christ and each other. From Green Turtle Cay in the North to South Abaco in the South our children from the various churches were present and brought visitors. Pastor Cheerful Chirnus Isidore blessed the children with prayer during our opening session.

YOUTH MINISTRY

Naturally Nadine Been led out in a wonderful Bible story and children from the various churches performed a special musical item during the concert. The praise concert led by the children really took the program to a higher spiritual level as the children shyly then enthusiastically gave praise to God with their bell rendition, special music and guitar instrumental. Children ministries leaders, assistants, and parents from North Abaco, Marsh Harbour, Salem, Ebenezer, and South Abaco were all there to support and guide our children as they moved from station to station for craft, snack, games, and imagination stations. The Craft Station was ably led by Vivacious Valencia Hepburn, Peggy Sands, and Barbara Bain. Snack time, hosted by Roblyn Bayley, Martha Blanco, and Mariela Colmenero, was a tasty honey treat that involved eating what was created. During Game time, Kind Kesa Petit-frere showed the children how to make sure no one is left out.

YOUTH MINISTRY

Cassandra Isidore wowed the children with her experiment during Imagination Station. Positive Lezette Pubien and Kessie Gelin were busy serving in the kitchen making sure everyone had a wonderful Sabbath meal including the visitors who stopped by after their adult church service at Long Bay School. Delicia Morris was the general manager who made sure we all had what was needed at the various locations.

K N Y O A U H T

Special thanks are extended to the Administrators of the North Bahamas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists for their support in making sure the program became a reality. Praise God for the church boards at North Abaco, Marsh Harbour, Salem, Ebenezer, and South Abaco churches who supported with their prayers, guidance and finances. Words of gratitude are not enough to thank Elder Emit Bootle for setting up the public address system, Damis Gelin Jr. for operating it, and Valencia Hepburn for all the work with our miracle t-shirts that were lost then found. Sincere appreciation to principal, Mr. Troy Ritchie and the staff at Central Abaco Primary School for use of their facilities. We can't forget the setup and clean up crew thanks a lot.

STOR HANNA A A P F O ND F R U O AM N O ILY H N I The Teachers, Supporting Staff, and Administrators of Grand Bahama Academy, extend our heartfelt condolences to our fellow colleague Mr. Hayden Hanna and family. Losing a father is a devastating tragedy, and we know it can be a heavy burden to carry. Be encouraged in knowing that God is always there for you to lean on in your time of bereavement, and remember that He is your Comforter and firm Assurance. We can truly say that from observation of the family members of Pastor Hanna that we know, that he would have done an excellent job in being the leader of his family. The character traits that we see exhibited in the individuals of his family is a true signal of the person he was. We know that God, The True Witness, has clearly stated that when His saints would have completed their time on this earth and are laid to rest, that he has pleasure in this. Therefore, we look forward to the glorious event when we will be reunited with our loved ones; Pastor Hanna included. It is our desire that Mr. Hanna and the rest of the family will know that our prayers are with you and that when any of our Grand Bahama Academy Flames Family members experiences a heartache we empathize with him or her because we are a part of the same body. Psalm 46:1 tells us that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. So, hold fast and know that you are not alone. We will continue to pray for your strength in the Lord, and we will also pray that God will continue to hold you up with his Righteous Right Hand. By:Jeffery Jervis; Principal of Grand Bahama Academy

Condolence on behalf of the entire North Bahamas Conference Church Family to Sister Julie Youte and her family as they lay their father to rest on Sunday June 5th, 2022.
