FRANCESCO CRISPI SCHOOL BY GIUSEPPE IACONO

The "Francesco Crispi" Comprehensive School qualifies as a music school since 1993. The musical course covers the duration of the entire threeyear period of secondary school and consists of two weekly hours of individual lessons of musical instrument, of theory , solfeggio and ensemble music, in addition to the total weekly total hours, in the afternoon.

The "Evviva la grammatica" contest, aimed at all students of the first, second and third parallel classes of the Secondary School, intends to offer to the students: a strong motivation to the study of grammar; an effective tool for grammar teaching; a training opportunity to overcome many critical issues in learning Italian, as evidenced by the Invalsi and OECD Pisa tests; a pedagogical opportunity for growth in comparison with the other students of the Institute. The competition will focus on the morphology, on the syntax of the simple and complex sentence, on some rhetorical and linguistic figures of Italian and is aimed at the identification of three winners for each parallel class (I-II III). The selection includes the following: first phase: all the students who have reported the evaluation of eight tenths on the basis of the evaluation grid established by the teachers, pass the first phase, second phase (semi-final): the pupils have passed the second phase and have reported an evaluation of nine tenths and ten tenths; third phase (final): students who have reported the evaluation of nine tenths and ten tenths pass the third phase For each parallel class will be awarded the students who will be ranked first, second and third place. The proclamation of the winners for each class and the award ceremony will take place during the "Boys in Leg" manifestation

On the 14th of March each year our school, with a series of activities and games, celebrates the day of Pi Greco Day or Pi Day. The Greek Pi is a mathematical constant indicated with the Greek letter (pi) and the idea of dedicating a celebration, which takes place simultaneously throughout the world, stems from the desire to bring pupils closer to the fascinating world of mathematics. The choice of the date of 14 March is not accidental but reflects the Anglo-Saxon numbering of the calendar, 3/14 or 3.14 and also the birth day of the physicist Albert Einstein. March 14, 2017 is also the date when the party is officially recognized for the first time in Italy where the Ministry of Education, University and Research (Miur), organizes a series of initiatives dedicated to the celebration of mathematical constant.
