Dieser Band beschäftigt sich mit der Entwicklung der Wissensformen von Natur und Umwelt in Frankreich und Deutschland sowie mit dem daran anknüpfenden Dialog zwischen den Disziplinen. Der erste Teil bietet einen Überblick über den Wissensstand und die aktuellen Debatten in den Environmental Humanities auf beiden Seiten des Rheins. Der zweite Teil enthält entsprechende Fallstudien mit dem Fokus auf die Pflanzenwelt, d.h. auf Gärten und Wälder. Cet ouvrage propose une réflexion sur la construction et la diffusion des savoirs sur la nature et l’environnement en France et en Allemagne, en associant le dialogue des disciplines et des échelles. La première partie offre un état des savoirs et des débats sur les Humanités environnementales des deux côtés du Rhin. La deuxième partie aborde des études de cas autour de deux thématiques axées sur le végétal: les jardins et les forêts. Aurélie Choné ist Professorin für Neuere deutsche Literatur und Ideengeschichte am Institut für Germanistik (Forschungsgruppe «Mondes germaniques et nord-européens») der Universität Straßburg. Philippe Hamman ist Professor für Soziologie am Institut für Stadt- und Regionalplanung (Forschungseinrichtung «Gesellschaft, Akteure, Regierung in Europa»– SAGE) am CNRS-Universität Straßburg. Aurélie Choné est professeure de littérature et d’histoire des idées des pays de langue allemande au Département d’études allemandes et à l’unité de recherche « Mondes germaniques et nord-européens » de l’Université de Strasbourg. Philippe Hamman est professeur de sociologie à l’Institut d’urbanisme et d’aménagement régional et au laboratoire « Sociétés, acteurs, gouvernement en Europe » du CNRS et de l’Université de Strasbourg.
