Miss Thailand Contestants visit Pattaya before Final

Pattaya’s Mayor Khun Itthiphol Khunplome, together with City Hall Administrators and Council Members, recently welcomed the contestants from the Miss Thailand 2009 contest before they took place in the live final which was broadcast on the 26th and 27th October. All of the eighteen beautiful ladies remaining in the competition made their way to Pattaya to feature in the recording of the VTR which was broadcasted on the live shows which promoted the City throughout the rest of Thailand. Pattaya City Officials had the chance to have their photos taken with the contestants in front of the King Thaksin Great Monument at Pattaya City Hall, before taking the young ladies on a guided tour around City Hall, explaining to them the intricacies of how Pattaya City Hall works. Next stop was the Sanctuary of Truth before moving on to the Satahip Naval Base, Sea Turtle Conservation Centre and many of the beautiful beaches around the area.

Oktoberfest for Businessmen

An Oktoberfest celebration at the Hardrock Cafe on Pattaya’s Beach Road was jointly organised by the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT) and the German Thai Chamber of Commerce (GTCC). Major sponsors were the Hemaraj Land & Development Public Company, who specialise in ‘turn-key’ factories, Pattaya’s Hardrock Hotel, and The Coffee Co, who are a large beverage distribution group for beer, wines and coffee, etc. This very large business networking event allowed a lot of new business contacts to be made between European and British business people, and as it was held on the evening before the Friday public holiday, many travelled from Bangkok for a few days break.
