Our Vision

At The Petchey Academy, we aim to offer an outstanding careers provision. Located in deprived inner-city London, our vision is to raise aspirations and equip all students with the confidence and skills needed to transcend the various barriers that exist in their immediate environments, and progress onto competitive post-16 & 18 destinations. Through impressive connections, students will experience a dynamic and exciting careers programme that is supported by leading employers and education providers. To validate the quality of our provision, we are working to achieve the prestigious Quality in Careers Standard award, licenced by Investor in Careers.

To participate in Work Experience Week, making use of my employability skills, and developing further skills

To formulate a CV which outlines my skills and a meaningful work experience placement

To construct a plan for achieving my desired post-16 destination with the help of a career coach

To prepare for sixth form / college interviews by partaking in a mock interview

To feel comfortable and secure in post-16 plan by attending open days and reaching out to the relevant institutions

To feel confident and secure in my post-18 plan by attending open days and reaching out to the relevant institutions

To gain a comprehensive understanding of finance by exploring diverse subjects such as tax and pensions, budgeting, and student loans, and effectively describe their concepts.
