Peruland All Natural is a Peruvian company founded in 2006 under the initial name of Aptec Peru that later changed its name in 2017. It is a member of the WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) since 2007 and was formed by producers prepared to fulfill custom orders directly.
At Peruland All Natural, we want to create not only timeless, luxurious and functional pieces but also family heirlooms and want to do it in the fairest way possible. To do this, Maria del Pilar from Peruland All Natural created the brand HAMPAJ and today works with a group of more than 80 artisans all coming from the Peruvian highlands. Around 70 of the artisans are women, who got together looking for an opportunity to generate their own income to support their families.
The knitters still dream, no matter how tough life can be, no matter the challenges many of them face: single mothers, women with basic or no education, with age barrier to find work and delicate health conditions. We want to empower them to overcome all those barriers and feel pride in the work they do.
Our reason to exist
Why we do this? With a background as artisans and after having discovered and experienced the power that our dreams have to transform our reality into a better future with good opportunities and peace, we want the same for the artisans we work with.
We do it by creating and selling high quality artisan made products and gifts that are friendly to people, society and our environment.
Making our reason short, we exist to make:
"Handmade gifts that make a difference, ethically."
It is our mission to go the extra mile to create job opportunities-doing what they love-where beautiful artisan women like Augustina live.

Raw materials we use
Baby alpaca
Baby alpaca fiber is one of the finest and most luxurious natural fibers in the world that takes care of you and the environment while it feels great on your skin and hands, too.
It’s also hypoallergenic, which means is unlikely to cause an allergic reaction in people whose skin is sensitive or tends to get irritated, including babies and young children.
Baby alpaca comes from adult alpaca animals (not from baby animals) and actually received its name "baby alpaca" for its softness, delicacy and shine. And if the alpaca is not sheared regularly, its health may be affected.

Baby alpaca fiber has a natural deodorant effect, meaning you can use it for a long time between washing.
The care of a baby alpaca piece is not complicated, either. Just take care of your baby alpaca garment as you do with your hair: wash it gently with soft shampoo, remove the excess of water with a towel, and dry flat in the shade.

Raw materials we use
Organic Cotton
The main reason is: you choose health.
Organic clothing and toys use cotton that is farmed without chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides.
In this way, babies and children reduce their exposure to toxins. Just think of how much important that is.
Since organic cotton producers don’t use the tools that conventional farmers use, it takes twice as much work to grow organic cotton than conventional cotton. Your health, however, is worth it.
Babies absorb things at a much higher rate than adults because the top layer of a baby’s skin is 30% thinner than an adult’s. This causes them to absorb chemicals and ingredients much more effectively than we do and means children are in more risk for pesticides-related health problems than adults.
Hand made process
Creating each piece of our collections by hand requires high skill in knitting, delicacy, and following a documented process that allows us to constantly offer the highest quality in our products.
Because our products are completely made by hand, there will always be variations. We review these during our quality review process to ensure minimal variability that does not affect the beauty or quality of any product.
These same variations are also what make each piece unique and unrepeatable. They are like us; we are all unique.
Let us share our hand made process in 6 steps:
Step 1. Read and understand the technical sheet for the product
Step 2. 1. Prepare and skein the baby alpaca thread
Step 3. Hand knit or crochet the product
Step 4. Wash and iron (only when necessary)
Step 5. Label sewing
Step 6. Packaging
