OUR SCHOOL VALUES

Because we care

We value Endeavour

We value Intellectual curiosity and scholarship

We value Breadth and balance

We value One another and our environment

ENDEAVOUR

• Intelligence is fluid not fixed

• Effort correlates with attainment

• Mistakes are learning opportunities

• Optimum working not perfectionism

• Happiness = being grounded and a balance between work, rest and play

INTELLECTUAL CURIOSITY & SCHOLARSHIP

• Academic selection means less of a range within each class

• Therefore, we can introduce specialist teachers earlier than other schools

• Year 3 – Form Teacher plus 12 other teachers

• Maths groups during first term of Year 3 because the range is more obvious.

• Specialist teachers bring extra passion and knowledge

YEAR 3 TIMETABLE

BREADTH & BALANCE

• What sparks life for the community

• Making memories

• Personal development

• Resilience, responsibility, team

• Opportunities for all

• Expertise concentrated at an earlier age, without Year 7&8 on this site.

ONE ANOTHER & THE ENVIRONMENT

• Relationships – kind, caring and considerate community

• Proactive pastoral care – PSHE, emotional wellbeing, IE&D

• Reactive pastoral care – Form Teacher, Head of Year, Pastoral Team, Nurse, Counsellor and Pastoral Hub

• Additional help as required – care plans, learning support, 1:1s
