3 World Trade Center is the second tallest building on the World Trade Center site which was completely transformed after 9/11. Next to three other skyscrapers, the WTC Memorial and the WTC Transportation Hub the memorial site now forms the centerpiece of a booming Lower Manhattan. The podium façade with a total area of 1.620 sqm is part of Gartner's scope. This includes three canopies and an interior façade. The standard glass dimensions of the podium facade are approx. 1.50 m x 3.0 m. Dimensions of the glass panes of the interior façade amount to maximum 3.0 m x 6.70 m. The six-fold laminated glass blades of the interior façade serve to support the glass panes of the interior façade. Full-height glazing is provided on all facades of the building to maximize the introduction of daylight into the occupied spaces. Das 3 World Trade Center ist das zweithöchste Gebäude auf dem Gelände des World Trade Centers, das nach dem Einsturz der Twin Towers am 11. September 2001 komplett umgestaltet wurde. Neben den drei anderen Hochhäusern, dem WTC Memorial und dem WTC Transportation Hub bildet die Gedenkstätte nun das Herzstück eines boomenden Lower Manhattan.

Die Podiumsfassade mit einer Gesamtfläche von 1.620 m2 gehört zum Auftragsumfang von Gartner. Dazu gehören drei Vordächer und eine innere Fassade. Die Standard-Glasabmessungen der Podiumsfassade betragen ca. 1,50 m x 3,0 m. Die Glasscheiben der inneren Fassade haben Abmessungen von maximal 3,0 m x 6,70 m. Die sechsfach laminierten Glasschwerter der inneren Fassade bilden das Auflager für die Glasscheiben. An allen Fassaden des Gebäudes sind geschosshohe Verglasungen vorgesehen, um einen maximalen Tageslichteintrag in die benutzten Räumlichkeiten zu erhalten.

3 WTC was designed to the highest energy efficiency ratings. With 80 floors and a height of 329 m, it is the sixthtallest building in New York. The usable space amounts to 207,451 sqm. The building accommodates a total of 53 elevators.
