Digital Content Creator

The Barn, Bergvliet, Cape Town

Location: Dreyersdal Farm, Bergvliet, Cape Town Reports to: Head of Brand + Marketing Employment Type: Full-time - Hybrid position

You may be required to be available out of office hours to maintain consistent community management and monitor all scheduled content on various social platforms.

OVERVIEW

The Digital Content Creator is expected to collaborate across various teams within the Marketing Department to produce and manage engaging visual and written content that reflects the Perfect Hideaways Real Estate brand. This role focuses on showcasing our properties across digital platforms to inspire and drive engagement. The ideal candidate combines creativity, storytelling, and an understanding of digital trends to strengthen our online presence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media Responsibilities:

Content Management: (Check once a day, every day of the week) Schedule and manage engaging organic content across different platforms using Hubspot and meta.

• Maintain the overall health of social media accounts and profiles, ensuring consistency in branding and messaging.

• Ensure content aligns with the company’s branding guidelines and tone of voice.

Analytics and Reporting:

• Monitoring and analyzing the performance of organic social media. Use this data to ensure our organic strategies compliments instead of conflict and compete.

• Understand what differentiates PHRE from our top competitors

• Analyzing the competitive landscape and their strategies

Engagement and community building:

• Respond promptly and professionally to comments, messages, and online feedback to maintain a positive community environment. (Use Meta business suite or Hubspot inbox to reply to DMs and comments.)

• Foster discussions, address inquiries, and cultivate relationships within the online community. (When guests post their stay reply with “Hope you have/are enjoying your stay”.

• Optimize content to encourage interaction and engagement, including sharing stories, developing highlights, and appropriate tagging. (Regularly check Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok for tagging and mentions. Share tags to stories if they are brand aligned).

• Increase engagement by actively interacting with inspiring brands and influencers on their accounts.

Trend Monitoring and Adaptation:

• Stay informed on social media trends, techniques, and platform updates to enhance marketing strategies. (Regularly check the social media algorithms to make sure your content is correctly optimised for reach etc.)

• Adapt social media strategies as needed to remain effective and relevant.

REPORTING & COMMUNICATION

• Regularly report on the performance of social media and email marketing efforts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with the marketing, design, and reservations teams to ensure alignment across digital efforts.

• Maintain clear documentation of all digital content strategies, templates, and procedures for consistency and efficiency.

OTHER DIGITAL CONTENT RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and manage brochures for all properties and other relevant marketing documents.

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of operational documentation to support internal processes.

CONTENT CREATION

Content Gathering & Curation:

• Research and source high-quality content online, including images, articles, and videos, that align with PHRE’ brand identity.

• Monitor social media platforms for relevant user-generated content to feature.

• Identify and save inspiration from competitors and industry leaders for future content ideas.

Content Creation & Editing:

• Create original graphics, visuals, and video content for social media and marketing purposes.

• Stitch and edit reels using Adobe Premiere Pro, ensuring smooth transitions and engaging storytelling.

• Source trending, copyright-free audio for video content to enhance engagement.

• Optimize content for different platforms, ensuring correct dimensions, file formats, and specifications.

Content Optimization:

Ensure all content aligns with brand aesthetics, tone, and messaging.

• Repurpose content across multiple platforms for maximum reach and engagement.

• Regularly test different content styles and formats to identify what resonates best with the audience.

EMAIL MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create various email templates and CTAs

Ensuring the design and layouts of emails are optimized, user and mobile-friendly

• Upgrade our email templates using graphics, personalization and advanced features

Implement feedback from the copywriter

• Designing graphics required

• Perform render testing across devices, email clients, and ISPs to ensure that emails are rendering correctly for the majority of the subscriber base.

• Ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• BSc degree in Design or Marketing 3 to 4 years of experience in social media

• 3 to 4 years of experience in working with email marketing platforms such as Brevo.

• Adobe Suite fluent

• Good knowledge of all different digital marketing channels

• Good knowledge and experience with online marketing tools and best practices

• Experience in working on a project management tool such as asana.
